It's time to rethink things. It's been time for a long time.
I am 44.
I based that comment on what other nations have experienced, and what I've heard others say. Others meaning people that research this topic for a living. People that have degrees at Harvard, Yale, etc. People that know a lot more about this than we do.
The common way of thinking is that if you make a drug legal, the sky will fall. The truth is, anybody that wants to do cocaine is doing it. Those that don't want to do it aren't, and won't. Sure we might see a slight increase (or a decrease) in use. That said, People use cocaine every day in a responsible fashion and they don't die or go rob someone. The vast majority of users do not create any problems for society. They simply get their fix and listen to music. I just described 99.9% of the users.
I can tell we won't agree on this, but that's okay. You have your views, I have mine.

Quite a bit to address. I'll start w/ my list ![]()
1. Alcohol
2. Methamphetamines/Crack
3. High Level prescription meds (mental or painkillers)
4. Heroin
5. Tobacco
The only reason Tobacco is at the bottom is because of the larger amount of the product that you can ingest usually over a larger period of time. Slow kill basically. Heroin is just awful stuff, and OC's are virtually the same thing (synthetic). If you have a buddy fuckin around with OC's or Op's or Roxy's, most of the time a needle isn't too far away timeline wise. Scary scary stuff. ![]()
Prescription meds are one of the biggest unspoken dangerous around today. They are everywhere too, sure people know of the danger but do they really know the danger? Do people know what they are putting in their bodies??
Most of the time the answer is no, and that's unfortunate because IMO it is your right to do whatever you want to your body and self so long as it doesn't harm anyone else. Freedom, I know it's a novel concept. Meth is awful, nasty, dirty, and everywhere in Texas, probably everywhere everywhere, but here in Texas it was bad and has only gotten worse.
Crack cocaine you can blame almost solely on our federal government in the 1980's btw. So yeah, thank you....ya know for that.
As far as cocaine goes, without a serious over the top addiction either quantity wise or longevity wise I don't think you can put it on the list. Crack? Yes. Cocaine? No. Two different drugs if you ask me.
Alcohol is the most dangerous because you can halfway function normally while you're on it, and society says it's okay. Not even okay, encouraged. Just don't drive after though or you're fucked. Ohh yeah?? And why is this stuff legal again?? Name one other mind altering drug that is legal. Go on I'll wait. Other than prescription meds there is none. So what, they just decided we'll give em alcohol but nothing else??? Alcohol makes you dumber too, but that's beside the point. Good thing Cannabis doesn't "open" the mind or encourage deep, "out of the box", existentialistic, philosophical thinking or anything....oh wait it does?? Yeah we can't have that.
The way people act on alcohol is unlike anything I've ever seen, unfortunately I have to deal with it on a damn near regular basis. Not a regular one anymore though, lmao cause I finally told the girl to get to steppin, way way way too late though.
. This particular person I cannot exactly tell to "get to steppin"

As for the legality of it and the "War on Drugs", propaganda, etc. Drugs carry a stigma, especcially when they're illegal, actually exclusively when they're illegal. All this money was poured into anti-drug agenda/propaganda whether it be TV/radio ads, school programs, police funding, community programs, you name it. So all this money is poured in, geared at keeping the public away from "Enemy #1" which according to Richard Nixon was drugs. Public enemy number one according to Nixon was drugs. Think about that. By the way you can all thank Anslinger and Nixon for the extreme anti drug culture of the past 40 years.
Anslinger you were a real piece of garbage, much like Arpaio is today. ![]()
So all this money is spent on what?? Educating people about the truths of drugs and dangerous of abusing them? Absolutely not, instead they continually and blatantly lie, blackmail, entrap and indoctrinate false truths into "the people" because no one knows any better. Or at least no one did, the internet really fucked that plan up.
Now that people do know better you would think their tactics would change...they dont. Woody Harrelson's documentry "Grass" is an incredible look into the official drug stance and propaganda through the years (1930-2000's) and what the US government actually told the people (not to mention the actual dollar amount of

spent each decade fighting the "War on Drugs", notice the FIVE moneybags there?? Yeah there's a reason for that.)
Anyway my original point was going to be this. When you make something illegal (anything) you instantly create a black market for it. Instantly. The only reason drug dealers exist is because there is money to be made, why is there money to be made??
BECAUSE THE DESIRED PRODUCT IS NOT AVAILIBLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. People want it and the garbage ain't at Wal Mart. Supply and demand. If people want something, making it "illegal" isn't going to stop them from wanting that product. If cheeseburgers were suddenly illegal tomorrow then niggas would be out there slangin Big Mac's and Whoppers, why??? Because people want cheeseburgers and they aren't going to stop eating them if they're made illegal. Not to mention if they know the ridiculousness of the law, which is what is happening now with cannabis. People want to smoke bud more but they still are going to want cheeseburgers. Cheeseburgers btw, have killed more people today than cannabis has ever. Just a fun fact ![]()

Anslinger was a racist idiot and his influence on this country still exists today. Add to that, the influence has NEGATIVE consequences of major proportion. I don't even want to start on how his decisions and have wrecked this country for the last 75+ years.
And the American public followed him like blind sheep.
