That's insane man where were you catching these sharks.
Did you cook the tuna. Filleting and then grilling them tastes incredible.

Watch the "Mad Fin" tournaments on ESPN. Its a Shark "catch and Release" tournament off the coast of New York, I think.
Those guys off the coast of New York, Jersey, and Maryland hit those alot, and not even in the tournaments, GUNNER will tell you that....You dont have to fish off the Carolinas down to Florida to bag one of those. Just alot of gas money, bait money and patience..find a guy who has a big 'ol boat, and chip in...Those guys are maniacs and will usually be more then willing to take you!

I've caught sharks that big in the NY/NJ canyons(70 miles off long island), within 10 miles of long island, within 1 mile of the florida keys, within 10 miles of the outerbanks. Sharks are EVERYWHERE, and very easy to catch. They aren't very smart. Species I've caught that were that big include Bluesharks (easiest thing to catch in the ocean), tiger shark, hammerhead, bull sharks. I wish to catch a mako that big, but my biggest mako is 250 lbs or so.
I've caught sharks with people swimming less than a quarter mile away. it's pretty funny sometimes.

10 miles off long island you've caught sharks, thats pretty insane. Ive only been on deep sea fishing trips in the Outer Banks along with blue crabbing. But do you know any docks in NY where I can go on full day or half day charters. Yeah I always find it hysterical that these large creatures can be so retarded.
Isn;t the outer banks great? I love it there. I've gone down there for 12 consecutive summers. They have great blue crabs

Any of the charters at Star Island Marina in Montauk. I'm sure there are some good ones out of shinnecock too, but I don't know that area.
I'm sure at the right time you can catch big sharks a mile off of Montauk. if you go 10 miles, you can catch as many blue sharks as you can handle. may through november (especially may, june and sept, oct)
Yes, the outerbanks are great. I lived in NC for 6 years and know all about it.

40 lb yellowfin tuna on a 3 day boat out of San Diego. I think it was in Mexcan waters. Forget milk, fishing and beer does a body good.
Hahah for sure. My uncle takes me on these fishing trips so he can use it as an excuse to get drunk![]()
