whadda a fukkin shame it has come to this, doing the roght thing is often not easy,but its still the right thing to do.

Contrary to what we have been told all our lives, you are guilty till proven innocent.  Otherwise, they would not be wasting their time with you. 

I do not know the answer, except to echo that if you do go for questioning, have a lawyer present regardless of your innocence.

Been in a spot along these lines and made the huge mistake of talking to them without a lawyer.

Get a lawyer and meet with him/her first. They will guide you correctly, but make sure it is a criminal defense attorney. They are expensive but well worth it. The so called law will twist your words, and out and out lie to get arrests and convictions, so don't trust them. But you can't hide either.

That's ridiculous, wiz. Cops have to engage in fact finding and investigation methods, and not everyone that they interview or question about a potential crime is someone they think is a suspect. Some people are just percipient witnesses.

No I didn't go in. I talked to a few criminal attorney's and told them my situation. They gave me as much advice as they could, then stopped because I didn't retain them financially.

But all 6 of them WITHOUT HESITATION told me to NEVER speak to the police under ANY circumstance with a Lawyer present.

They said that you NEVER have to talk them and that we all have the right to always remain silent even if we are arrested for something.

SO, I WILL NOT BE MEETING WITH YOU AND I EXERCISE MY 5TH AMENDMENT RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT AT THIS TIME;UNLESS MY FAMILY ATTORNEY ADVISES ME TO ARRANGE A MEETING WITH YOU AND THEN AT THAT TIME WITH HIM PRESENT WILL I GIVE YOU A STATEMENT.

This was last Friday when I called and I have yet to hear back from the Officer, as of now.

Sorry, in the above first post it should read TO NEVER SPEAK TO ANY COP, UNLESS YOU HAVE A LAWYER PRESENT...NEVER SPEAK TO THEM ALONE!!! THIS IS A RIGHT THAT ALL OF US HAVE.
