Not that you would expect people to do the right thing these days anyways, but I'm assuming he doesn't know anything or he would have said he did. So this doesn't really apply. If they were just asking questions they could talk to him at his house or over the phone. I in no way would be comfortable going to the police station to indulge in thier accusatory questioning without a lawyer.

one thing i can tell you, there is a jail overcrowding problem in this country.  however. if people shut the fuck up when police wanted to talk to them, our prisons would be practically empty.

If you are innocent tell them you'll have a conference call with them u and a lawyer. Do u have any lawyer friends?

I would check with them, but you probably don't have to answer a question if you don't want to. But the basic ones might help put a criminal off the streets.  

How can they build a case against you if you are completely innocent?  And yes, I know innocent people go to jail, but not without evidence.  Maybe the evidence is interpreted incorrectly....and yeah, there are crooked cops.  Like someone said, this isn't a murder case so the police aren't under the same pressure they might otherwise be.

I'm a huge believe in what comes around goes around.  

I would never let a cop search my car during a routine traffic stop, but ask a few questions about a crime (sounds like theft or something similar).  I have enough faith in the cops to do that.

That's just insane. So he's supposed to take time out of his day he doesn't feel like going to so they will be nice to him? Fuck that. They aren't going to have the same reaction if he refuses to answer one of their questions? If its just a few innocent questions and nothing formal they can come to your house or do it over the phone.

kind of sad that people think so highly of thiefs. Personally i cant stand the bastards and if i could help the police catch one, i would. But thats just me.

I think thieves are the scum of the earth and would like to implement the cutting of their arms off like in some cultures, but it doesn't sound like the police want him to come down for a simple chat to help them catch someone. They are trying to make him slip up and say something so they can make an arrest and close a case. All he has to do is make one misconstrued statement and he's fucked innocent or not.

I have done this .. Cops called saying I stole a girls ss card . I laughed so hard . I told him he was out of his mine and good luck with that one .. he got stupid and told him to go fuck himself and dont call me again,.. Nothing ever happend .. He was fishing for something .. He got nothing .. I didnt do it anyway ..

 

If they have something they will come get you .. So sit back and stay out of it .. trust me ..
