Doing it as a favor... I couldn't do that for a living. I think I'd have to shoot myself if that were my occupation. No offense to anyone that does that, I just hate it that much.
Youngstown was a good guess but it's N. Canton (where I live). You wouldn't even be able to sweep this carpet because the sweeper wouldn't be able to pick everything up. Just filthy. I don't understand how people can live like that. Her mother lives in an apartment below me and I've seen her place. They're hoarders. Yes, like the people you see on TV. There's a small pathway in the middle of all the crap in the apartment.

I used to deal with tons of slobs getting foreclosed on. You'd be lucky if they left the toilet most times. Place would be utterly disgusting half the time with garbage baking the arizona heat.

My wife's mother's house is kinda bad. Her countertop can't be seen because there's so much clutter. Mail from the past six months. Junk food everywhere. I really can't hardly stomach even being there. If it weren't for me constantly cleaning our place would look the same I think. My wife doesn't throw shît away and I always have to stay on top of it. She'll go to a drug store and instead of throwing away the plastic bag and receipt, shell lay it on the counter and it will sit there for days if I don't throw it away. One time she was in a hurry so she empties here purse on the countertop. Gum wrappers, dirty cleenex, pennies, receipts for $3 purchases at McDonald's... junk. It all sat there scattered for about three days because I was waiting for her to clean up her mess. It finally got to the point where I was tired of looking at it, and I knew she wasn't going to do anything about it, so I did.
I swear one of these days she's going to come home and all her shît that she doesn't need is going to be in the trash. Don't get me wrong... I love the woman but my God... I can't live like that.

I know she could complain about some things I do as well, but that doesn't mean that I can't. All I ask is that she throws away shît that she doesn't need. North Canton is pretty nice actually. I've seen Massillon, Canton, and other parts of Ohio and North Canton doesn't belong in the same conversation with Parma and similar places. (Handshake)

Friend of mine has a auction house and I occasionaly do cleanouts or pickups for onsite or at the auction. 8 out of 10 collectors are semi hoarder slobs. I have had to take doors off hinges to get into rooms because they had landslides of stuff blocking the doorways.1 guy saved his friggen urine and kept it in the refrig. Loaded and chambered weapons left in coats, attics, sofas etc.1 guy got 5 different newspapers each day and saved them for years all stacked neatly in 6 foot piles with paths to get from room to room from garage thru entire house. Filled 4 16 foot box trucks hauling just the newspapers.

She texted me to see if I could help Tuesday. I told her I had to work. She's going to see if she can find someone else. I'm crossing my fingers. I'm going to keep making excuses until she finally gives up. I hate to do that but I don't want to tell her that I'm afraid of lice and fleas. Add to that she's moving out of a third floor apartment. Fun fun. I guess she has a hospital bed up there that's heavy as Hell. She's a sweet person but... she really should make an effort to clean more. I mean it's ridiculous. If people are afraid to enter your house, maybe you should rethink how you live and what you do with your free time.

Sounds like my wife... her mother is a hoarder and she has similar tendencies. I guess it works out because I throw all the garbage away. I worry because I got three boys; hopefully they will take after their father.
