I should add that even though my response was directed at Vanzack, what I said is exactly the type of thing that I think van avoids - I could never argue that taking the latest, worst line possible is statistically smart but I'll tell you what - it tends to work. I'm looking for the game that has a spread which Vegas knows will not come into play.

Equal action? why is a 9-0 team only a 1 point fave at baltimore then buddy, 75% 25% is not equal, you dont know the first thing about the betting game, theres more to it than what goes on the field.
I think you don't understand what the difference between 75% and 25% of bets and 50% of the money.
You'll never find how much money has come in on a particular side - ever. What you'll find is the number of bets that have come in.
So, while there may be 75 people out of a hundred betting $100 each on the Colts, there may also be 25 people out of a hundred that are betting $300 each on the Ravens.... Thus $7500 on the Colts and $7500 on the Ravens - even action, giving the books a guaranteed $750 profit no matter what happens in the game.
If this has already been said, then I apologize, but I just started reading through this thread and had to respond immediately...
