Boston's a little bit overrated. I graduated Boston in 1992. It's truly an awesome city - spring n summers are incredible. Mountain bike through the streets day or nights through anywhere through Faneuil Hall, then hit the Cheers area, go through MIT over the bridge and go all Harvard then up and down the hill to BC.

  Winters are freeze your cock brutal. In all fairness, the other seasons far outweigh the winter. Just gotta get really used to it I guess.

Besides Boston I've always liked NY, Miami, California area by the beaches near LA, and Vegas.

Only downside for toronto is is the snow, its a pain in the ass.  But summer time pure bluejay games and sexy canadian chicks ..

Louisiana as a whole, its pretty lax. and a better place to gamble than vegas, you dont have to dodge baby strollers in the casinos and deal w/ crying children.

Living Costs - Housing,taxes etc
Family Life - Schools,daycare costs,etc
Crime and safety issues (getting better)
Amenities - Sports teams,outdoor activities
Nightlife - bars,clubs,respectful women,slutties

and 3 hours from anywhere in Ca you might really want to be...

I have been to Baltimore a couple of times and it is the best city in America hands down. The Inner Harbor has the freshest and cleanest water you can find anywhere. You just want to jump in the water and take a swim. I recommend going out at night in many of the tight knit friendly neighborhoods.  They know how to throw a party. It is like Mardi Gras of the East. The most important thing is the people in Baltimore are the most courteous friendliest, and nicest people you will ever find. If you are a tourist and get lost in the neighborhoods, the people will not only point you in the right direction, but they will offer you a beer and offer to chill out with them. Where else can you find hospitality like that?

Seriously, there is only one city in North America. I live in Toronto, I grew up in Vancouver, I've been to Seattle, New Orleans, San Francisco, and Miami and a lot of other places around the globe. It may not be the best city in the world, but without doubt the NYC is hard to beat.

Although I've never been to Vancouver your cities are by far the best. The only city (actually town) I'd add is North Hampton, NH because its close to skiing/snomobiling and is a very nice ocean front town within reasonable commute to decent sized cities.
