Doc told me about two years ago that I tore my meniscus in my knee. But I was going through a military course and it was made clear to me that I would not graduate if I left. They gave me naproxen and I pushed through. Since then, I have not had to do anything crazy as far as physical. So I never saw a doc after I graduated. Sometimes when I would run or plays hoops, I would feel a little pain.
I'm 31 now. Ran 2 miles the other day for time and felt some awful pain in my left knee. Next morning, I noticed that my RIGHT knee would lock up. The only way to "un-lock" it was to actually kick hard. I kick and I hear a loud pop and it feels unlocked. The right knee locks but does not hurt. The left knee does not lock but the pain is actually awful. Popping Advil because I can't get in for an appointment until next week Wednesday.
Anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance.

in the book of ailments, a torn meniscus can be located somewhere in between a sore vagina and a mild yeast infection.
that being said, you can either just deal with it or have minor surgery and be back on your segway in a week or two.
Pretty much. I've had 5 of 'em (various procedures). Locking up and swelling are tell-tale symptoms. You'll walk out the same day. Back to normal in a couple of weeks.
You might have the same problem in both knees.
