anyone ever tilt at online blackjack?

ive been playing blackjack on sportsbook.com  the last few weeks off and on. ive done well the last few weeks but i dont get carried away  i will dedicate like $100 certain nights and id say im up about 1200 the last month. usually play $10 hands but if im up like a few hundred then i will increse to like 20-25 and play with the winning but rarely ever dig into my sportsbook acount!

yes all online gaming is corrupt to a certain extent...matter of fact all casino gaming is corrupt, again to an extent...but with the amount of honest players (i.e. they can win without cheating or don't know how/put the effort to cheat) is so great, you can get up from a a potentially corrupt table and so to a non-corrupt one...i would say its very rare and only happens at very high stakes...why waste your time with 3/6 holdem when you could cheat and make 10X as much at 30/60 holdem...overall, just get up and leave a table you think something is occurring at and the odds are very good youll sit at a non-corrupt table (either online or live)

I played for about 4 weeks.  I swear I found a pattern of some sort.  I was playing $10 hands, getting my ass kicked.  Then there came a point where I'd get the same hand a 10 and and 4.  The dealer will be showing a 9.  So obivously I'd hit, bust, then the dealer shows their cards before the next hand and its always a 7.  Then I'd always go on to lose like 10 hands in a row.  And it would be ugly as hell.  After a while I noticed this pattern.  I guess when you lose 10 hands in a row you remember.  So one time I said fuck it I stand on my 14, I want to see what the dealer has.  Sure enough it was a 7 underneath, they hit, and bust.  I would go on to win the next 10 hands or so.  So everytime I'd stay on my 14, and let the dealer hit his 16 and I'd go on a nice run.  After that particular hand it would get crazy and started bumping my plays on the run to 100, then 200 expecting the run.  I won over 20k in a month.  Oh man I was freaking happy was hell.  I don't know what happen but the pattern never happened again, and I got greedy and starting playing $100 hands on a normal basis, and lost like $12 back over the next couple weeks.  I felt so crappy I turned off the casino section. 
 
Thats my blackjack experience.  It is fixed.

stay away from online blackjack, I was once up 1 k once then just went down hill.

I Quit playing black jack online because of this reason... I was dealt 6 3 and the dealer was dealt a 4. So i doubled down and was given 19. Dealer flips over 4 giving him 4 4, hits gets another 4 puts him at 12, hits gets another 4 puts him at 16, hits gets another 4 and he wins with 20..... Took a screen shot of the game and i have it blown up in a poster hanging over my desktop. Its rigged.

A friend of mine had a HUGE problem with Bodog "Flash Blackjack". He would blow through a G no problem. He turned the "free" $30 they gave him after he hadn't played in a while into over $1000 and then gave it all back. Then he made a deposit for a thou and lost it. He has lost EVERYTHING to gambling and stocks. He estimates it to be over $300,000 in 5 years. So, I wouldn't feel too bad right now. It can get MUCH worse. Don't let that happen.

i think if you play online bj and can't get put it down, you have a gambling problem.  doesn't take much to figure out these games could be rigged.  typical of most compulsive gamblers is the need to burn their profits or extra money.  like the itch to play something before the next football card comes up on sunday.  obviously playing sports is winnable and the offshore books know they can hook the compulsive gamblers into the casino to get back their money.  i use 5 dimes.  they pay great.  honest.  never screwed me on anything for years.  but i don't even trust their casino.  played maybe a total of 10 dollars in 3 years in their casino.  i work hard to make good capping decisions why throw it away on an internet scam?  interesting thread though.  points out how winning money at sports betting is really about keeping it more than making it.

I'm glad I found this thread. I have on more than one occasion built up a nice bankroll online, only to piss it all away playing online Pai Gow. It devasted me the first time I did it, and yet I did it again, and again.
 
It's extremely addicting, and the fact that it's the click of the mouse is what I believe makes it so easy for me to continually do it. If I was at the casino, I would actually have to keep pulling money out of my pocket, huge difference. Plus I believe it is rigged. I say now I won't do it again, and believe it to be true, but I know myself, and feel like some night if I go on tilt, I might find myself back on there.
 
Atleast my girlfriend is helping me. Had a good run this weekend, and am not going to piss it away.
 
Great thread. Very helpful reading other people's views and stories on this.

i keep telling myself "OK this is the LAST time you are going to do this" (play blackjack online) and then the next morning there i go, back at it. so addicting... has anyone ever seen the dealer pull 21 out of his ass so many times compared to how many times you get it??? i certainly have

You need to keep a better eye on the dealer, make sure is not dealing 2nds
 
Talk about a license to steal... these guys have one... and thats exactly what they are doing...

Would anybody in their right mind ever take all their money out of the bank and throw it in a burning fire? Playing in an online casino is the exact same thing... you're throwing your money away. It's a total ripoff and anybody that's ever tried it will tell you they feel it's unfair. There's a reason you feel sick while playing online BJ, it's because deep down - you know you're getting ripped off. The solution is simple - Don't do it again... stick with sports or live casinos

there are 2 things wrong with online blackjack..

1. No free cocktails from the waitress

2. its rigged.



at least in vegas if you are winning they will get someone else to take over the table and you can leave. With online they can do it anytime.

its rigged for sure. i dabbled in it and there is no way it is real. my one question is who regulates and monitors offshore poker, blackjack gambling sites. No one has been able to tell me. Also would you trust an offshore site out of costa rica with blackjack? Even if you found out it was rigged what could you do to get your money back??

I never played online blackjack but I have plenty in Vegas. I know how u fellas feel because that video blackjack is the devil!! It is definitely rigged so I can only imagine how online is.  Most of the time in the casino  the dealer gets the high card and you are forced to hit most of the time coming up with 22!  My advice is to put it on a ballgame or two.  At least you have a fighters chance, because those wins will have your adrenaline up to keep losing trying to outsmart a RIGGED program!

Why anyone would play Blackjack period for anything other than recreation is beyond me. Its a vegas table game. If you expect to do anything other than lose in the long run, then youre a fucking idiot, period

I once risked 1.5 million dollars in a day of blackjack on pinnacle. Sounds like a lot but not really, playing a hand every 10 seconds for 10 hours straight. Do the math.
