This thread reminded me that I got a mailer from Intertops the other day saying they had given me a $10 bonus in the casino part. They do that from time to time to get me hooked but I know better. But I always play it off.
So I just went and played my roulette strategy and turned the $10 into $20 and will stop for the night. 37 spins wagering between $1-$4 a spin. LOL. Hard to budget $10. Even if things are legit I was playing at a blistering 282 spins/hr pace!! Wayyyy faster than a normal casino, even rapid roulette is only about 90 spins/hr tops. On the plus side it was a single zero wheel.
Only a matter of time before that $20 is down to $0

Hi guys I just saw all your sad (yet similar to mine) stories and wanted to tell you how I fixed the problem:
I won't name names but my online book let me tell them to cut off my access to the online casino. They will do it for you if you e-mail them. Then I won't be tempted when I'm on tilt.

Played on Bodog a few years ago... It was really weird. I would win a few, lose a few. Then win some, then win some more. Then all of the sudden I would lose like 8 to 10 hands in a row. Definitely rigged! Fuck BLOWdog!

blackjack should be reserved for entertainment purposes. play $1 or 5$ a hand...drink a lot...play for fun. or dedicate yourself to it and don't play online. haha

There oughta be a law. If you get caught throwing your money playing blackjack online, you should have your adulthood revoked. You should have to re-take grades 1 through 12 just like Billy Madison (but you don't get that awesome party when you graduate).

Ive played online blackjack to clear some casino bonuses and Ill tell you all. I cant believe my bad luck :s
I played after the optimal strategy with an expected return of 99,55% (about 99,3% if you make a mistake every 100 hands).
Theese are my stats: Rollover 38K€ Loss -803€ Expected Loss -263€ Actual return: 97,85% (99,3% in theory)
When my return was at its worst point it was down at ~~96,3%. I ran simulations with a simplifyed model to show that only 1 person out of 100 000 would end up with such a low return(or worse) over the number of hands I played.

bodog is horrible you lose 1st hand 99% of the time, idk was doing so good last few days wanted to get over 1k tonight... but instead i hit 0, i feel so drained idk what to do, a lot of money for me , walking around in circles now (sportsbook i use)
Don't ever EVER play Bodog blackjack or online blackjack ANYWHERE...if you need to play, make it a casino where the house edge is tiny...online casino's INCLUDING BLACKJACK make BOATLOADS of money well beyond sports betting....i remember when partypoker.com added blackjack to its gameplay...what happened? profits leaped and the stock jumped as well (a good indicator wall street types, although clueless with sports betting know they will sucker in the compulsive gambler)...
AGAIN: THE PROBABILITY RULES OF BLACKJACK (i.e. slight casino edge in a LIVE game) DO NOT HOLD FOR ONLINE GAMES!!! Matter of fact, we have NO IDEA what the odds are and as you attest, they may be ZERO for the first hand whenever the online casino so pleases!! SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR NEVER EVER PLAY IT AGAIN!!!!
you have a lifetime of sports knowledge and this site...use that to your favor and play SPORTS if you must gamble...

I totally agree this stuff is rigged. They let you win at first and than they just lay the hammer. I was up about 3 k last week, they hammered me for over 8 k the last 2 days, lesson learned.
STAY AWAY FROM THOSE ONLINE CASINOS!

also, the main ploy of online casino's utilizes the same tactic as online porn...for years, porn was a shameful vice and the most you could have of it was playboy, hustler and the guy with the unwashed mullet grabbing you a magazine from behind him at
7-11...with the proliferation of the web, the access is now infinitely easier and most of all DISCRETE (eliminating the shame of actually purchasing the magazine).
In the same manner, an online casino allows you to sit your behind in a chair and gamble while you eat your dinner. amazing, considering such a thing was only available legally in las vagas just a half a century ago...so your grandfather, had to FLY to LAS VEGAS to play blackjack and now it sits at the tip of an index finger...that is both amazing and troubling at the same time. P.T Barnum: "A sucker is born every minute." Do not get suckered into playing online casino games. (you can even tilt on the safest of them all, poker which has NO house edge)

But just to be an idiot I played some again last night. I never play more than 1 or 2 a hand. I won 20 bucks and stopped. I think that is the only way... if it is rigged I think it is rigged to 1. start screwing you after 10 or 20 minutes, so it gives you hope first and keeps you hooked longer into the losing streak. 2. Start screwing you the MOMENT you start betting big.
I do not think there is anything wrong with playing as long as you use extreme moderation. Actually expecting to win, betting larger than you said due to getting too cocky, and allowing yourself to lose more than the limit you set for yourself before clicking in... those are the real issues.
Blackjack is fun and I cannot smoke weed in a real casino, so I am sure I will play again. But after reading this thread I am more sure of it being rigged than ever.
---
I always thought the same thing as Eborrell. "How easy would it be for them to create software desgined to beat the players? We are not 'supposed' to be doing this in America to begin with... Shit, why the hell wouldn't they?"
We should put out a PSA or something.
