Here's my simple take:
 
VT is coming off a solid conference championship win over BC.
 
Cinci barely made it out of Hawaii.  It took a deflected pick-six, a safety, and a phantom call in the redzone for Cincy to survive with a win.

Don't Poo Poo your Warriors though.........they play great out there and other teams that come out there late in the year tend to struggle.  This will be a very interesting game to say the least though.

   I saw that game and am not impressed with cincy at fn all.....vt knocked off a very talented bc team and I am with you...I expect this team to score on that shithead team!

It's not out in B&W ... yet ... but our starting left-G, starting quasi MLB are both out for the Bowl (grades and knee respectively). A Rb is transferring (no major loss) and our stud De may or may not play. TBD. i.e. if you are a Nati backer; now would be a good time.

Cincy -1.5. I say that hesitantly.  Both played in weak conferences this year and I can't believe this is a BCS game.

Warren (our starting quasi MLB) and Worilds (De and our best DLineman) are now officially OUT. I'd play the Nati right about now, if that is your call before this line responds to this news.

This is 16th consecutive bowl game for Tech and second consecutive Orange Bowl (only Florida and Florida State can match that consistency).
 
There'll be plenty of Maroon and Orange support for Hokies who consistently "travel" 30,000-40,000 loyal fans.  Meanwhile, this marks first "major" bowl for Cincy in nearly 60 years!
 
Since 1999, Hokies are 90-8 when outrushing their opponents.  Nice stat to consider with an outstanding rushing QB Taylor (691 yds including three 100-yd games TY) and redshirt freshman RB Evans (Tech freshman rush record TY with 1,112... including 253 versus Maryland). 
 
Can't see Bearcat backs doing that much damage against Hokies' stout #7 ranked Total Defense.
 
Oh... and, throw in special team "Beamer Ball" benefits...can't wait for this one:

Don't know if there were any overtime games up to now, but if there weren't this one could be the first OT bowl game of the season.
Can that renowned special teams play of the Hokies be the difference in this one. Yes it can. Blocked field goal attempt in OT to win the game..........Bigiiiiiiiiiiiii'ssssss Hokies Win

The Dom.Goodman injury looks critical here to me folks. The Nati offense just got  a whole lot easier for us to deal with if DG sits. The Nati OLine struggles in pass protection; so do we/VT. The Nati OLine is thin; so is our's. Cincy had 28 fumbles (some were recovered) and 11 INT's on the year for a suspect Turnover Margin.

I like the Under here. I have it as listed (42.5) for 1u and again on 47.5 for 5u. I have us/VT buying 5.5 points up  to VT+7.5u.

the big east has had the better success so far than the acc in this years bowl games.  both defenses are stout with the only weakness being cincy vs the pass (67th in the nation) however, va tech cannot throw the ball (112th in the nation).  i feel a tight low scoring game tomorrow night.  something like 17-13 cincy.
