not really a bold prediction, considering it is the pattern of the Thurs night interconference home dog... but thanks... my more bold prediction was that the exact 2nd half score would be Vandy 14-6... going according to form so far... i actually figured Vandy would have to score in the last couple minutes to win..
hopefully this holds up and the dog wins it outright...

i'll give it a shot...
one thing to think about... SC is a Steve Spurrier coached team, with an almost cult-like following... most people can't name the coach of Vandy, and few follow the team at all...
for some reason, like i said earlier, every year the SC fanatics get everyone all hyped on this team, saying this is the year the Spurrier offense will start to click... but it never does, because they never have the kind of talent he needs to get it done... every year, we watch games like last weekend, where they are supposed to dominate, but instead have to depend on their defense to bail them out...
i can tell you one thing about this game that is not debatable... the best QB on the field plays for Vandy... probably the 2nd best also plays for Vandy, actually...
their defense is for real... which deserves to be stated, because against the Gamecocks very shaky, anemic offense, they are bound to capitalize on some mistakes...
meanwhile, while the C's don't have a juggernaut offense... they have better weapons than what SC saw last week from NC St... especially at QB...
QB play early in the year in CFB is crucial... and a lot of times making the right play in an otherwise evenly matched is as simple as backing the right QB...
SC shouldn't even be favored in this game... not by more than 3 anyway...
Th. Interconference home dog... and throw in the other factors... it all spells a dog cover, and possible straight up win... will be a dogfight, that's for sure...
Good Job Shep...Win back some of the money i lost on the skins
