Pittsburgh at Connecticut (11/11/2010)

I think this should be a defensive battle and in a match up such as those I prefer to take the points as it should be a close game.

This is a very tough game for me personally to choose as Pitt is on a roll and have yet to lose a Big East game. If I'm not mistaken Pitt has been dominating games by at least an average of 23 points.

As far as UCONN goes they are 4-0 SU and ATS at home so far this season and coming off a pretty solid defensive performance against WVU.

Both teams have very solid running games that should run a lot of clock in this game. Uconn and their rushing game will have to get through this very tough Pitt run defense and I'm hoping they do.

I'm leaning on taking UCONN on the final.

Pittsburg has been on a roll. They have won me  the last 3 weeks, covering the spread by a wide margins. I'm going to have to keep "Riding the Stache".

UNDER WILL BE A GOOD PLAY HERE. WINDY 10-15 MILES.

Does anyone from the Big East belong in a BCS game this year? NO! But that doesn't mean someone isn't going. And that someone is PITT. A win tonight pretty much assures PITT of a BCS Game because they'll have a 2.5 game lead over everyone else with 3 games left.

UCONN has also been juggling 3 QB's all year because they've all been so inconsistent and will have to rely on Jordan Todman again. The only problem with that is PITT is ranked 8th nationally against the run giving up only 94 ypg. UCONN, on the other hand, is ranked 77th against the run giving up 164 ypg. Expect to see a lot of Dion Lewis and Ray Graham in this one followed by some play action to 6'5'' WR's Jon Baldwin and Mike Shanahan who have huge height advantages over the 6'0'' and 5'9'' starting CB's for UCONN.

On top of all that, Pitt is expected to get preseason all-american Greg Romeus back in the line up on the opposite side of Jabaal Sheard who's currently 6th in the nation in sacks.

Um, please tell me you were joking with this statement. A great QB doesn't get demoted to 3rd stringer during his senior season behind a redshirt freshman. A great QB doesn't complete only 55% of his passes. He's also last in the Big East in QB efficiency. Far from a great QB.

And what do you mean he'll be more noticed as the year goes by? The year already has gone by. UCONN has 3 games left after tonight. The dude's a bust. He's been a bust since he transferred from ND. He's been given the starting job 3 times already and lost it all 3 times.

When has Pitt been known more for their passing game than their running game? Maybe when Marino played.

And Justin Hargrove plays for PITT NOT UCONN. There's just so much wrong with this post that I don't understand cause I thought you were a decent capper.

If anyone should be hungry it should be the PITT players that blew the Big East last year when they lost their last 2 games to WVU and CINCY and cost themselves a BCS birth.

Everyone is making this too complicated.  Too much about home records, line moves, weather, revenge, last years game etc.  Just look at the records and scores against common opponents and you will get the answer to the question PITT rolls.

Pitt has lost 2 of it's 3 road games. I like UCON tonight. Undefeated at home, including wins over WV and Vandy by 3 TDs. Got to fire up the teaser machine I'm taking UCON +13.0 along with the E.CAR/UAB over 60.0

Dont forget Pitt was ranked to start the season and also took Utah, who was at one point ranked 5th, to OT in the first game of the season on the road.  Pitt is a good team and should roll tonight.
