Wow , one of these team has to cover the spread this week. Both of them has under achieve this year. Might take the Under here..

Against 2 GOOD teams (Ohio State, Missouri) this year, Illinois has been outscored 67 to 9, so that tells me that they (Illinois) are a BADDDDDD football team. I see the same thing happening this week against Penn State, who WILL finally cover the spread & win handily!!!
Even though, it's a home game for Illinois, that MIGHT NOT score at all!!

Penn State ***Play -6.5  They'll bounce back against a shitty Illinois team.  Their defense probably outscores Illinois' offense.  Sharp

After giving this game more thought, I am taking Penn St as well. Let just hope they won't turn the ball over as much as they did against Iowa. Penn St -6.5

PennSt must eventually cover this season.....What has happened to Juice Williams and the offense.....Mendenhall really was the straw that stirred the "juice".....

Joe - I think your right... Juice's success must have been because of his running game... their horrible this year... Illinois fans have to be disappointed big time.

This is illinois first home game of the season so I look for them to play with a little something extra this week, and Ron Zook is DEFINATELY  on the hot seat and desperately needs a win.

If penn st. is going to win by 4 touchdowns then y r they only giving 7 1/2????  I understand that ur prolly a disgruntled Illini fan, I've watched every game too, and I had them last week +14.. i kno the team is bad... but @ least 75% of pub is on penn st. spread.. and @ least 90% is on em SU.....  I like to bet WITH vegas

Illinois' first home game.  Lookin' for a shootout and a close game.  I took O46.5 and IL +7.5.  31-30 Illinois

Although Penn St was, and may still be massively overrated, I think they can win by at least a TD here. 

Both teams will be trying to prove they don't suck.  Neither will get it done.  Penn State will, however, look better than Illinois

Agree, PSU was never a Top 10 team, but they are decent and Illinois has been drilled by every talented team they have played.  I am sure they will be fired up to save their season and play well at home, but PSU was embarrassed giving that game away last weekend at home.  Has a Paterno team ever had 4 turnovers in a half, let alone one quarter?  I doubt it.  PSU will play inspired football, they have their season to save as well.  They shouldn't have played that weak OOC schedule and maybe they would have been ready last week.  Taking PSU and laying the 27 -16.  GL all

Woof . . . Illinois is having some troubles huh?

Sounds like the worst issue is the offensive line which isn't giving the Juice any time to make plays at all.

I would also find it a little troubling as an Illinois fan that the team lists 4 co-starters at running back.

Maybe worst of all though, the defense, which was breaking in 6 new starters at the beginning of the season, already lost a potential starting corner in the pre-season, and starting MLB in week one.  This is a squad that gave up 354 passing yards - to Illinois state.

We all know Penn State laid a big fat one last week but Iowa, obviously, is for real.

If Illinois hadn't absolutely had their asses handed to them by both of the real teams they've seen this year, I'd give them a shot at home, in this game they desperately need.

Just sounds like they've got too many problems on both sides on the ball, and possibly at the top of the food chain.

I'll be layin' the chalk in this one.

Folks...  dont over think this one.  Illinois is horrible.  the worst Zook team yet.  juice has no time to throw..  look at the OSU game.  More of the same here with a good Nittany Lions defense.  PSU finally covers a spread today!!
