76% of the public on PSU and the spread hasnt raised a 1/2 point..

I don't know why people think this game is easy PSU.  Illinois has some young talent on offense and a QB that can give a defense fits.  Penn State has shown me nothing this year.  You can't win on reputation alone.  Take Illinois small or match then up with either Florida State or G Tech in a small AR.

I picked SF all week and changed my mind at noon today taking WVU and laying 2500.00.

I am tired of losing! I KNOW you should not chase a win but I have 3374.00 left in my account and I am  putting ALL of it on Penn. State @ -3 (115). If that hits, I have Florida -18 and Ohio State ready for 3,000 each. I either win Saturday or I am done for the season.

 

Thanks to BigDaddy, Bigiee, Lefty1209, danstyk, and the rest for your help. Too much vodka, 2500 on Arizona -4.5, and poor money management has me ready to win big or lose big.

Keep your head up my friend many more to come. You will get it back.

Remember my friend discipline is the key. That's why I kept on emphasizing on "small play" for me only. I felt the WVU/USF could have gone either way.

Thanks my friend. I do explicity recall you saying "small play" but NO WAY would I infer any bad feelings in your direction because I followed a pick of yours, or any other poster for that matter. Most of us here are adults and to rant on any poster because their picks failed to cover {see definition of "Gambling" in Webster's} is total bullshit. I make my picks and then see how some of the vets have capped the game{s}. No one in Cyber Space is hacking anyone's PC, entering the wager, and pressing the "Submit" button. I have been a member here for several years and gotten more than I have given in that time. My number one pet peeve is to see posters rag the vets for their picks. Everyone should be man enough to take responsibility for their own picks.

Will be keeping wagers at 500.00 today.My yearly bankroll is 10,000 so that's 5%. My spread sheet says i have actually lost close to 10K in college this year and wond 13K in the NFL with a winning record every weekend. I need to stick to just the NFL but.....

I picked the last three games and am 0-3 with my wife capping them in the other direction. Penn St. is her pick. We met last December and were in Tunica {a casino resort} over New Year's Eve. She saw me scrolling through the forum and said, " Hell...I can pick 'em on MY OWN. I don't need to rely on someone's else to pick them for me. I gave her 1K and told her to put her money where her mouth's at. She ended up 14-2 {87.5%} the remainder of the bowls and NFL! She looks over my shoulder, sees the game I am looking at and says, "They have a good coach, a good QB, etc". I tell her there is more to it than that.You must spend hours looking at stats, reading, etc. she looks at me kind of funnyand says, "Well....that'smy pick". She's picking the ganes today. She played a 12T NFL parlay last week for 10 bucks and hit 8,tied 3, and lost 1.

IM IN THE SAME BOAT WITH YOU FARRAR. I CAN STUDY THE GAME ALL NIGHT BUT IM BETTER OFF DRINKING SOME MILLERS AND JUST PICKING THE WINNER LAST  AT THE LAST SECOND  AND NOT STUDYING IT. ITS A 50-50 CHANCE TO WIN. YOU WOULD THINK OUR ODDS WOULD BE A LITTLE BIT BETTER SINCE WE ALL WATCH FOOTBALL EVERY TIME A GAME IS ON..

Hey Oahu, your boy AlwaysUp got the boot from the site for some colorful comments made.  I did see his picks that he posted on sportsinsights.com.  Here you go.  I hope that f*ck loses his car payment and the repo man pays him a visit.  Sunny days, my friends.  We don't have to read his salty nonsense ever again. 
 
Big plays on FSU -2 and GT +3
Smaller plays on MSU +7.5, Indiana +10.5, and Oregon State -2
 
I might bet the opposite just out of principle.

Dont overead or over analyze things. A lot of you over analyzed the WVU game due to "revenge" blah blah and look what happened.

Well, Mr. Headchief with your 9 posts, thanks for the kind words and welcome to the covers forum.  If you'd stick around awhile - or at least look at my avatar - you would figure out that I'm a big Penn State fan.  I know the team well.  I may bet on them, but I'll never bet them to lose.  So that's why.  If I was not partisan I would probably bet ILL.  Also I was the first one on this string to give any props to ILL, even tho I'd much rather be a homer a say LIONS ARE A LOCK or some nonsense.

Also -- sometimes the best bets are the ones you avoid, the ones you DON'T make.  What the F is a railbird anyway?

I see my Under pick is not alone - the line dropped 2 pts in 2 days.  It may be too low now.  Both teams are capable of scoring too, so that is no sure thing.

Now why don't you enlighten all of us with YOUR insight, instead of ranting on others?  Best of luck in your picks this weekend. 

Something tells me PS will wake up today and play well.  But I'm still holding off this game.  OSU is a much better place to put your $$.

Penn State is a good, not great team this season, and Illinois is an average team.  Even on the road, PSU should cover easily.  I think PSU is embarrassed about getting shut down last week.  Give the points and play it heavily.

BigD, happy for you to win the first half call.  It was a good bet.  Unfortunately for me they could not grab the final.

For pretty much one reason only -- our QB sucks.

I see PS winning next week at home against a banged up Iowa squad.  After that, who the F knows.
