The only statistics Nev. has an edge over Mizz is punt and kickoff returns(both less than 6 yards apart), and tackles for loss(6.5 vs 5.67). However, the most glaring statistic that jumps out at you is Nevada's turnover margin (-4.0) vs Mizz (.67). If Nev. cleans up their mistakes, they will have a shot at covering this game. As documented, the 'pistol' offense has been 'marketed' and flounted around by Chris Ault during coaching conferences and seminars, I'm not sure how smart that decision was. Irregardless, Nev. will have to limit their turnovers in this game, spread the ball around, and control the ball in order to limit Mizz's pass-happy offense's TOP. The onus is on Nev.'s defense, they just can't get out of their own way, especially in passing defense efficiency, where they're ranked dead last (120th) in FBS. So, the game has a good chance of going OVER 61, as Mizz will get their points (~35), and Wolfpack should rise to the challenge against Mizz's 86th ranked pass defense to score enough points to keep things interesting.
