This is a hard game to pick. Pretty much no teams can go undefeated in the SEC (besides Auburn in 04). This is the best chance for Florida to have that one loss, other than in the SEC Championship.
LSU hasn't been good with putting pressure on QBs this year. They rush 4, rarely blitz, and usually gets chewed up in the secondary. But this team has won rolling the dice many times. Call it luck, but they've done enough to win every game this year.
Georgia exposed LSU coverage last week. When Patrick Peterson checks the #1 receiver, it's man-to-man coverage. When someone else is checking, it's zone coverage. Hopefully they aren't gonna use the same coverages.
But I'm not impress with Florida's WRs this year. They are average at best, and Florida is an option team first, and they need Tebow to run the option effectively. However, like I said, LSU puts little pressure on the QB, so Brantley should have no problems in the pocket.

There is absolutely no way Meyer will let Tebow start this game, and as Sharp above me said, a first-timer on the road in death valley is a dead man walking. If for some strange reason, Meyer decides to go against all medical reasoning and let Tebow play, he will not be the Tebow we are used to seeing.
I think LSU is a very over-rated and got lucky against a pretty bad Georgia team and a REALLY bad Mississippi State team to be undefeated at this point.
Low-scoring game here, I take the UNDER.
don't let the low scoring lsu-georgia espn game fool you...lsu's defense only has the PERCEPTION that it's good...it's just a mirage...this game goes over, whatever it is

This night game at LSU is total bullshit. If the games starts during the day and ends at night and they lose its a day game, if they win its a night game. LSU is a average SEC team this year and I just cant see them moving the ball on FLA defense, leaning to the under

People are assuming that LSU's offense will be able to score on the NUMBER 1 defense in the nation. Tebow doesn't play D so his play won't affect theirs.
If Tebow doesn't play then the game will most likely be VERY low scoring and Under could be the play, but don't forget LSU vulnerable to the run as wel (ask Miss. State) and well who else has running backs like Florida?
With the line as low as -7 some places, I would take Florida bc when they win, they win BIG. Small play on LSU ML is a possibility, but if Tebow doesn't play, give me the UNDER please.

Chaas - the problem with that analysis is this: when your QB is out and a sophomore is making his first start, especially on the road, 9 times out of 10 they lean heavily on the run.. LSU knows this, so they stack 8 in the box and all of a sudden they have a good run defense, when you don't respect the pass you can do this. i.e. Washington/USC. The under is not a bad idea, although Vegas knows this. Florida has a great defense, but their 1 dimensional now. LSU at home, against that.... I'll take my chances with +8.5 My opinion, this should be a close, hard hitting game. Sharp

I completely know what you mean. I wouldn't put it past the running backs to make a big play or two and turn the tides of the game though.
If Tebow, doesn't play then it will be a defensive game for sure, making the Under (unless Vegas puts it at like 35 or something) very appealing. If Tebow doesn't play my only play would be the under. If he does I'll most likely be glad I locked in Florida while the line was low. Even at home LSU hasn't won me over yet this year to show me they can score when their backs against the wall.
Yeah, I know they did against Georgia, but 2 penalties put them at the Bulldog 38 yard line, where a FG wins anyway. Terrible celebration call btw on both sides of the ball. Other than that I don't see why LSU has all the hype this year. The defense at times looks just as bad as last year, and the offense isn't getting any better.

Sorry Gator fans, but I'll take LSU all the way! Florida is riding last year's record. This will be the FIRST ranked team they've played, and it happens to be away, at night, and at LSU.
If they'd have played a schedule like Miami, I doubt you would see them with a #1 status right now.

Get your popcorn, this one could be just great entertainment. I think BOTH teams are overrated, but it looks to be a close matchup. Chaas is right, LSU won last wek because of a blown call, and the week before because MSU couldn't get in form the two yard line with 4 tries. Florida offense hasn't clicked all year, and now may be without Tebow. Close game which favors the points. Too many questions to feel confident about.
About the under, UF defense is for real, but is LSU's? They gave up 26 to Miss State (with help from TOs) and gave Washington 450+ yards. Did they catch UGA flat in the first half, or has the defense finally woke up? Death Valley is the toughest stadium in America to play in at night. As I said before, a lot of questions for me to be comfortable. But I will watch every play even if I don't bet it. GL all.

Call me crazy, but I am leaning ot the Gators -7.5, with or without Tebow. LSU Off #99, FL Def #1, yes FL hasn't played anybody yet and it is AT LSU, but LSU has been exposed BIG TIME against a bad MSU team and an average Georgia team (below average for GA and the refs sure helped LSU as well). FL should be able to do whatever it wants when it wants. Tebow has practiced Tuesday and Weds this week-no contact, but if he is even close to being able to play, he will play. I can't see LSU staying in this one after the crowd gets taken out of it. Meyer will make it ugly if/when he can.
Good luck to all.

I love the under here. Jefferson a.k.a. "CantGetRight" just isn't smart enough to make plays against this D. Both teams lean on the run and I feel the under is an easy play.

tebow or no tebow, I have to take the tigers plus 7.5 here. If he plays, he surely wont be the same, and if he does play, I would expect the LSU defense to really, really get after him. I am sure the backup qb is talented (this is Florida afterall), but LSU at night and getting more then a TD? Might be a sucker bet, as that just BEGS for Tiger money, but call me a sucker...I am on it

I look at this and say Death Valley at nite, Tebow maybe out, but if he does play then he has limited practice. If he doesn't then this guy making his first start on the road, in death valley on a Saturday night.
Shit, I will get on the Sucker wagon as well because I will take LSU

Just like with Nebraska the other night, the line here tells you all you need to know. You're telling me that the #4 ranked team in the country, playing with the biggest home field advantage in college football - Saturday night in Baton Rogue - against a team whose franchise QB is questionable at best, is getting8.5points??? Makes no sense. Florida rolls.

Damnit, I did not wanna jump on here and see 80% of you posters going with LSU. I was pumped when I saw the line at +8 when I got it for 5 units, and now you all have me second guessing. LSU is very tough at home and at night. I don't think Tebow plays, it would be a disaster to their season if he got hurt again. The Tigers offense needs to step it up and score some points because the defense can hold their own. Watch out for Les Miles and his trick plays tonight... he'll definitely throw in 1 or 2 of them.
