Well still trying to figure this one out. Hard to base it on both teams performance last week due to it looks like both teams were looking ahead for this game.
BYU could not rack up the normal points against a New Mexico defense that ranks 98th against the pass 60th overall on defense. BYU cost me some coin last weekend.
TCU played against a Colorado St team that ranks 67th overall in defense 71st against the run. Which IMHO the TCU running game should have ran all over that defense but only scored 13 points in the 1st half of that game and scored nothing in the 2nd half to end up in a 13-7 TCU victory.
This is a match up between 2 of the most stingiest defense BYU ranks #2 at allowing an avg of 10 points per game & TCU ranks at #9 allowing an avg of 11 points per game, so I'm kinda interested in the total.
TCU playing at home gives them the edge in this one but still a close battle. TCU's defense will need to keep BYU's offense off the field in order to keep it close. Although TCU's defense is ranked #1 in yds allowed at 205yds per game when they played such a high powered offense like Oklahoma Bradford went off with 411 yds passing and 4 Td's.
Oklahoma took advantage of this TCU defense early with putting up 21 points in the 1st qtr and once TCU fell behind they had to revert to their weakness on offense which is their passing game.
I am not comparing Oklahoma's offense to BYU's but I feel that BYU's defense will try to force the passing game with TCU and stack up against their run. I also feel that BYU will test this TCU defense early, but then again I could be way off.
Might just stay away from a side in this one and take a look at the total but either way I'm still
