ROLL TIDE

FLORIDA  + 3.5

Alabama looked very impressive pounding a good Arkansas team last week. The Tide had a balanced attack with 200 passing yards and 197 rushing yards. Alabama held the Razorbacks to just 226 total yards for the entire game. that was impressive.  Florida hasn't really been tested in 2011. They have been favored by 34, 24, 17, and 10 points in the first four contests of the season. And they haven't gone up against anything close to the Alabama offense or defense. The Tide has held the Gators to just one touchdown in the last two games played between these two teams. The Tide has too much strength and athletic ability for the gators to handle. Look for the Tide to roll in this game.....  

Really liking BAMA here with each and every angle I study.  Florida offense will be overwhelmed and Florida will be exposed as a rising team that isn't quite where they seem to be.  Bama is a true MNC contender and have proved it with two real tests so far.  Florida has played nobody, and didn't dominate Tenn in the one semi-test they had.   

Typically this would be a possible letdown spot after the big Arkansas thrashing, yet there is no such thing as being flat in this rivalry game.  As a veteran of many OU-TX games, it's impossible not to show up for that game regardless of who you just played.  And this game is the SEC version of OU-TX.  Bama is just a much better team at this point in the season, and the defense is just plain nasty and has been tested and came through with flying colors.  BAMA takes it by 7+.

Also believe the Florida defense is untested and overrated.  Aside from Tenn (53rd in offense) which they beat by only 10...Florida def has faced the 116th, 120th, and 113th ranked offense in the country.  Ofcourse they shut these guys down, so has everyone else.  The one offense that had a little bite put up 23.  IMO, if and when Bama scores 24+, Florida won't be able to match that on this Bama defense.

Great game to watch but tough game to call...Bama has been nice to me but it's hard to go against Florida at home...If I were to touch this game I would go with Florida but I don't want to bite the hand that feeds me.

I'm afraid Florida loses this one at home.  They haven't been tested yet and this is a nasty first test.  I think Florida will keep it close in the first half...but the second half will be dominated by 'Bama.

Florida may keep it close early but Bama should be able to wear them out by the 4th qtr.  Like Bama -3.5

I like florida here. Bama is finally playing a good team that won't lose the game by turning the ball over (penn st, arkansas). Had penn st. not made stupid turnovers, you guys wouldn't think so highly of this bama team as they would have only lost by a few. Good defense... bad offense.

Florida at one time was a moneymaking play in their first sec dog role of the season. I'll take a shot on them making the colonel some beer money for Sundays Nfl games.

Biggest play of the day for me, Alabama will roll over Florida, and it shouldn't be close.  Tide will contain and shut down the running by Demps and Rainey, and Brantley isn't able to beat anyone with his passing.  Not saying they won't break a long gainer, very possible, but they will get neutered against the bama D.  Fortunately, the Gator defense against the run is their strength so Bama, also lacking a decent QB will have to earn their yards.  Field position and depth will win this battle.  Bama by 2 TDs+

It may be too early in the season just yet for one of these, but this is starting to show all the signs of being a bama backers blood bath.  There is so much love for the tide on this game the line should be about -7 at least.

If you lost this year, this is the game for you to make it up, don't let this one get by you they don't come this easy.

I love how nobody is giving UF any chance in this. Talking about how the only game weve really played was Tenn and they put up 23. If anybody watched that game we dominated them Tenn was never in the game and got 6 PI calls some which were questionable and we had about 5 dropped INTS but held them to I believe negative rushing yards. Our front 7 is going to be by far the best bama has faced. We have 5 stars backing up 5 stars in the first 7. Dominque Easley has been being praised since high school about having the fastest first step scouts have seen and he has continued getting that praise since being at UF add on sharrif floyd ronald powell omar hunter jay howard jelanie jenkins good luck having a very successful day running the ball. I believe both teams front 7s are 2 of the best in the country and both running games will be held relatively in check. I think its going to be a game that comes down to each defense daring the QB to beat them and while Brantley and McCarron are both not looking like world beaters I believe with the way the UF OL has been playing combined with Cahrlie Weiss devising a game winning scheme and it being at home I see this coming down to the wire. WR wise UF has a ton of talent so dont be shocked if something big breaks open eventually with all the speed we have on the field. Im not saying UF is definitely covering but for all you giving them no chance and pounding on a Bama team missing a starting LB and McCarron making his first sec road start make sure youre up in the afternoon games because this might not end well for you.

not saying florida dont have chance here but from the teams each team has played sure looks like bama surely had a tougher schedule so far, i got bama -4
