Air Force at California (12/31/2007)

Guys, I need to slow you all down here, getting carried awayw with useless stats.  What does this have anything to do with TPODAY's game?  These stats mean nothing as far as today.  Not to mention AF played very weak ccompetitiont - you are comapring apples and oranges.  As far as today's game goes I will likely lay away, I am up pretty far on th ebowls this year and want to keep it that way.  Auburn over Clemson is a better play.  Cal will win this game by 7-10 points, so if you must play this game play Cal for a measley 1-3 units.  Or the over.

Loved the over.  I think each offense has the advantage against the opposing defense.  Not a real feeling on the side.

But....it is supposed to be windy 15mph at the beginning of the game and forecasts calls for increased wind as game goes.  It would be great if someone in fort worth could confirm this.  Wind will hurt Cal and consequently make AFstronger.  Add the WR suspension, AF discipline and desire to play, Cal's likely questionable desire, Cal QB's ankle uncertainty..

Will all the above true, AF is a good play.  May even get a nice ML payoff.  GL

A) This iss seriously flawed logic; B) didn;t BYU beat AF 31-6??  This is inexperience rearih it's head, guys take it from a long time player this is not the way to evaluate games.  Analyze their offenses and defsnes in as assimilar situaytions as possibl;e and make a good gut call.  Note i say "in as similar situations as possible".  meaning like opponents, or opponents with the same style of offense or defense.  That is why most stats people throw out here - which by the way we can just get anywhere on the web - mean nothing.  Asd an ex-stats professor and long time entrepreneur, I can tell you stats mean zero if the situation is not identical, and the less related the situations are, the less the stats mean.  Focus on people and styles, injuries and weather and you will be much better off.  Hope this helps you younger guys out here.

Thanks, collegesharp already pointed this out. I would never, NEVER, base a decision of that. That was just me being a little loopy. I remembered that Air Force beat a good team, and it was from the MWC, and it was Utah. Sorry for the error, and thanks for the info.
