Les Miles.  He was told to win his bowl game plus at least 10 games this next season or he would be fired (so the scuttlebutt).  He was also told to not pass any job opportunities.  LSU money men are tired of him.  I think he would be a better disciplinarian than Fulmer or Kiffen.  Those thugs that play for TN (not talking about all the players, just the thugs) need a firm hand.

Gruden was mentioned before tenn hired Kiffin. That would be a sexy hire by Tenn. But didnt they give it to Kippy?

Chow's not head coach material. his contract is up at UCLA. Expect him to follow Kiffin to USC. He's boys with pappa Kiffin.

My favorite SEC/UT blogs are mentioning the same names;

They have reportedly already contacted both Jon Gruden and Houston Nutt. (I would hate either of those choices)

Gary Patterson - I don't understand this one,Patterson just signed a "no buyout" extension through 2016.

Bobby Petrino - Like Houston Nutt he is a questionable recruiter and of questionable character.

David Cutcliffe - I love him but would love him much better in Durham.

Troy Calhoun - I am always amazed at what a great job he does every year but I want more sizzle.

muschamp really. imo that would be a great hire but he has to find an offensive coordinator.

I have to agree.  They tried to get his last time.  This time I think will be too much for Muschamp to pass up.  The money will be there and now the program is heading in the right direction.

a) The two have no history

b) Kippy was born and raised in Tennessee and has never coached on the west coast.

Gotta think Kiffin didnt ask him to come. Why would he stick around and be the interim and listen to the names being mentioned as the next coach?

Was he a Kiffin hire, or was he part of Fullmers staff? That would answer alot of questions
