you know a ton about VT and im on the under. Id like to know why your so confident this game is going over. Seems like alot of points for a VT defense thats SUPPOSE to be very good. With a line set at 17 this is suppose to be pretty one sided...I feel like usually when you got a one sided game with a big total like we have here you catch an under. Talk me thru it

Excellent point about the NC state defense and the time they have to prepare for this game. Obviously the lines makers blew the opening number when they made Cincy a small favorite.

Well this defense isnt supposed to be very good is the problem, and they are not. They can not contain a QB with any type of misdirection running right now. They also cant pass defend with any of their linebackers so they are essentially going to be trying to cover 5/6 people on the ECU offense with their 4 defensive backs. So many mismatches. If ECU starts hitting the running back or tight ends the safeties for the Hokies will have to cheat and the Pirates will get some good looks over the top. If Bud has taught them over the last week how to become disciplined, then I will be way off. But they dont look like they are interested in learning at this point and I have never had faith in Beamer controlling a locker room without some player leadership, which outside of Tyrod they have none. Now that Tyrod is trying to take getting Stinespring fired into his own hands, which btw would be the greatest accomplishment of any Hokies life, he is not going to be that person to get the job done. Even if the Hokies play tremendously well on defense I still the Pirates reaching 20 points.

On the other side of the ball the Hokies are going to be especially dangerous against one of the worst defenses in college football. The running backs havent had much success so far this season and when Ryan Williams starts smelling the open field it is going to be a long game. ECU is going to have to pack the box and Tyrod is going to have Boykin and Roberts getting loose deep the whole game.

Did they necessarily blow this one? We will find out, but preposterous to claim it doesnt happen. I think public perception played a lot into where they opened this line.

you obviously didnt watch game last week. of 5 TO's only one was caused by defense. when a punt hits the back of a blockers ankle that is hardly a nice def play. when a wide receiver throws a moonball pass on an end around that goes higher than its distance that is hardly a great defensive play. nobody that watched that game with cfu could bet nc st based on theyre defensive performance.

The only UCF touchdown in the 1st half was a kickoff return. That means the "shitty" NC St. defense gave up exactly 0 points while picking off UCF in the 1st Q. All they did after that was pick off 2 more passes in the 3rd Q to extend the lead to 28-7. Sure, at that point a QB who they did not prepare for came in with a different style and had some success. But the defense gave up ZERO points against a veteran QB. To top it all off, with the game on the line they forced a fumble and recovered it to win the game.

And wasnt UCF favored to win the game? The line was UCF -3. So I dont know why everyone is throwing out that game as UCF being terrible and acting like NC State was "supposed" to win. UCF WERE THE FAVORITES. NC State was getting points and completely dominated the point of attack. They started putting in their 2nd team defense in the 2H when they were up 28-7. They were destroying a solid UCF team. NC States defense is for real. Remember the name Audie Cole tonight. Cinncy sure will

NC State had WRs wide open on both passing plays. Just have to relax and catch the ball. Thats first series should have done the trick

hey gl to you i didnt bet this one. i havent seen cinci play and wont bet against thurs nite HT when havent seen the visitor. and sure cant bet ncs based on what i watched last week. but i did see every play and to say they have a top D somethings missing there. gl

Never once did I say they have a top defense. Far from it in fact. I simply said they have a much improved defense and if you watched any of last seasons games you would have already agreed just watching this first drive. Meant no harm
