Ice- on your combo bet are you putting one unit on each? If you lose both it will be 2 units? Just confused on this one as I know you bet 1 unit on most plays.

vegas parlay cards are pretty much a scam... unless you can find one that actually offers every game... even then, they will usually remove games where the line moves more than a couple points...

they dont have texas on the parlay cards here nor nebraska or clemson i feel cheated

When I moved to Vegas I took a parlay card and it did not have the teams I wanted. I would have won that parlay.
A coworker of mine explained to me you can parlay any game, just go to the window and ask to parlay off the board. as well I believe most times on parlay cards, ties lose, but off the board a tie is a push, and parlay goes to next payoff.

chef... i got into combo bets first during the NBA playoffs a couple years ago... when i knew a team shouldn't be getting points, i would split the bet... i basically considered the ATS part to be a gimme, so i used it to cover a higher payout ML bet...
a good example of this last year was Bama/Georgia... i ranted about how Bama shouldn't be getting points, and that the +7 was a gimme... so the real bet is the ML... usually any line between 3.5 to 8 where i think the dog will win outright, i take this approach... i do this more often in the NFL than in CFB, and the goal is just to hit the ML 50% of the time...
last 2 years i have been right at the 50/50 mark, and got good profit out of it...
also, good points about parlays... if you live in Vegas and like doing parlays, you should always do them off the board... the only reason to use a card is if the lines you want have moved considerably AND you can get all of the games you are trying to bet... otherwise, just parlay off the board...

have you checked out La Tech?.. i'm REALLY liking that play and it's very under the radar out of all the games i see people talking about.
i see a few people pumping this one lately... trouble is two people that i really respect like Auburn, one of those being Nostradamus... the other being my buddy in real life who i discuss games with... he didn't bet Auburn but that was a game he was originally leaning towards...
to me it seems like it could go either way, but GL!

just remember... the public will most likely do very well the first month or so... at least that has normally been the case... people who get scared off of games "because everyone is on them" at this point in the season are in for a long year of second-guessing themselves, as they watch every Joe Blow winning the "easy games", then jumping on board that train just as it is leaving the station...
don't second-guess early on... just cap... trust me! it has never not worked this way for me... later in the year the numbers get sharp and you gotta make the adjustments... but right now, it's all about capping...
