.......and Fisher claims it was all on the up & up.
Supposedly $30 Million in NIL deals to secure the #1 class....Not sustainable in the long run...Big Boosters can shell out the money for 1 -2 years then what happens after..

The bag men of the SEC have had their lives made easier. I'm sure other schools are just waiting for rosters to shake out before attacking the transfer portal.

Todd..Penn State don't have the big dawg donors that the SEC does..They still trying to pay the Paterno lawsuits.

Like the Kaho kid that signed with Washington, then claimed he had a death in the family & wanted out so he could go back to Nevada to be near family........whom all moved to Alabama a week later.

now st. nick is salty because he knows they don't have the funds to compete with A&M in the new world of cfb. Calling out jimbo is a massive clown move imo.

Top recruiting classes last few years and I think Max Johnson is gunna be the real surprise .. he's so easy to overlook, LSU was melting down around him for 2 years but this kid is legit accurate and can drop a dime while getting blown up in the backfield .. happened alot LSU like 4 sacks a game last year one of the worst .. A&M w Calzada .. one of the best sack rates ... they also didn't let MJ run much last year, makes sense with the QB's they had on the bench that we saw in the bowl game .. needs a sec to to speed up he's got legit wheels .. Think we finally find out if Jimbo can do it with a real QB or if he was just the QB whisperererrrer king of 10 years ago .. I think its a big surprise year .. all the way though idk .. think bigger risks is coaching .. see if OC can draw them up .. and then lose Elko .. big loss ..

Nick will retire in the next 2-3 years IMOH..maybe even after this season if he wins a Natty..which I highly doubt...I don't think he win another Natty...The gap has closed and more teams will be competitive in CFB at the top.. USC is back...

The NIL deals being tossed around like its candy will not last...So pretty much every 5* recruit and most high end 4* recruits are getting 6 figure NIL deals before they even step on the field.. Do you know how many of those players will be bust or not even be a starter before their career is over.........It is not sustainable in the long run...You look at the recruiting rankings every year of the top 50-100 players...a lot of them don't even pan out...

Oh yeah tough to imagine all the ways this impacts negatively .. tough to imagine too many ways it works positively ... I've heard of whole team or unit sponsored, getting X dollars a month I think Texas OL's are doing that ... I think BYU has something where walk ons get their school paid and how smart of a deal could that be, you have every roster filled up and cutting scholi's back to 85 .. portal overflowing, good JUCO, HS prospects being ignored .. Lotta ways the best walk on class in history can help you given the current supply of players .. On the flip side if we assume Jordan Addison's $3M and LA Mansion is actually not a pay for play / strings attached / side contract deal then how is it not logical for him to find any excuse to not play another snap or quit the team outright .. Nothing to prove on the field, just got rich and only way he doesn't get massively richer is by getting hurt .. Not saying that'll happen but what happens when the chips are down no shot at a playoff by mid-ssn ..
Really like Saban's comments about his approach not putting the job of scoring NIL deals on the coaching staff or cement it in their recruiting process .. even if others doing it he's not answering to it .. Ajaiye Hall asked him where his BIG MONEY be at .. tells him to take a hike .. go to UT i'll show you in September, lol love it .. You can just tell St. Nick got his naughty list going and UT and A&M are at the top of it .. don't care what the line is .. can't bet on either of them vs Bama ..

USC is still 2+ years from being "back". They may be back in terms of PAC-12 dominance but their trenches won't hold up in the CFP. Riley recruits OL well but they aren't there yet.
I predict Riley will have USC exactly where he had Oklahoma: a perennial 10+ win team but will struggle to get over the natty hump. NIL will certainly help him get USC back on the national stage though.

Venables getting a ton of respect from ESPN SP+ ratings at Oklahoma.....that is impressive to me
And hold on a minute here with SABAN retiring >>> just out

SP+ ratings are pretty good actually and vary quite a bit from AP/coaches polls, etc.
Good analytics here for those interested (came out the other day) > https://www.espn.com/college-football/insider/story/_/id/34431935/college-football-final-sp+-2022-preseason-projections
