Not a starter, and not even on the team, but this has to be posted.

Former USF WR Terrence Mitchell who was already kicked off the team for pot, "was found passed out in a car facing the wrong way down a street and in drive at approximately 1:26 a.m. After police officers woke him up and Mitchell was examined by Tampa Fire and Rescue, he became unhappy"

"While being evaluated by Tampa Fire Rescue personnel, Mitchell "became agitated," according to the report, and "twice attempted to bite an EMT (against the will of the EMT)." The report states that after being read his rights, Mitchell admitted to police that he had consumed alcoholic beverages, was feeling its effects and "that he should not have been on the road."

Not an injury nor a suspension, but local NBC affiliate reported that Trevor Knight, and not Blake Bell, will open the season at starting QB for Oklahoma.

Ucla lb anthony barr suffered head injury late Tuesday night at practice, was seen vomiting on sideline. ..most likely a concussion. ..they have bye after nevada so maybe he sits week 1?

Also stud/nfl prospect wr coleman for rutgers still hasn't practiced once with contact since last January knee surgery. ..flood says he is on schedule and will play next Thursday vs fresno st

two key players for their teams to keep eye on

 couple of East Carolina WRs are ineligible - Justin Jones and Jabril Solomon.   #2 and #3 returning by yardage, but only Jones is listed as starter in PS.

Like Ruffin's boys this year...
  * not good here as depth looks thin at WR....but 2-3 Fr look ready to contribute...?
Jones was the TE when in that set....and b/u inside receiver (6-8 / 277)....2nd team pre-season all-conf

Soloman (6-2/190...4.3)  a b/u at outside receiver...but av 24 yds/catch LY....looks like they were hoping he or Worthy (6-2/217) would beat out weak link Reese Wiggins

Looks like RB Cooper will not be suspended (EVIL WEED) < attaboy Ruffin.....

starting WR's are....
Hardy (88 LY) and Webster on inside
Wiggins and Ray (Ark transfer) on inside 

BTW....Steele is driving me crazy this year...

Not official yet but there is strong belief that ND transfer Devonte Neal will be ruled eligible for Arizona this year.

He will add much needed help at WR and KO/Punt returner. After Austin Hill did his ACL in the Spring the Cats have been lacking a play maker that can stretch the field and Neal will provide that. Will be a starter as soon as the ruling is made.

The time table on the NCAA's decision has been a strange one as no one thought he had a chance to get cleared. Apparently UA was able to show precedent in a similar transfer situation and the NCAA accepted it. It's now on ND's plate to grant the waiver...they have 10 days to respond.

Bookie - do you think Cal's loss of depth at LB could impact their game with NW?

Cal could afford to lose LBs.  They switch from a 3-4 to a 4-3, so they have one fewer LB spot to fill.  Wilkerson was hurt LY and Broussard barely played.  Plus, they get touted transfer Fortt in the lineup (hurt LY).

Losses to the secondary would have been more troublesome.

not vs NW...
  *but not good....those guys were #2-#3 WLB behind Fortt.....so his b/u is now a 4th teamer essentially

I like the over.  Cal has a lot of talent on offense, and will try to run 90 plays.

Florida has two guys not playing the opener due to injury

Top RB Matt Jones has some kind of virus.  He hasn't been pracitsing.

Startig RG Halapio has a torn pec muscle.
