Time to start the Injuries / Suspensions thread !!!!

Two Top 25 teams have lost starters.

USC -  RB Silas Redd will continue his knee injury recovery and will not travel to Hawai'i.

Michigan - Starting safety and team captain Courtney Avery will miss the first two weeks of the season after undergoing minor arthroscopic knee surgery on saturday.

Do you think USC has the depth at RB to miss Redd, and still cover -21.5 at Hawaii?

Even people that are high on USC acknowledge that they don't have room for many injuries as their depth is already thin, and it seems as if Redd may not be the only Trojan that will not be going to Hawai'i.

After practice Monday afternoon, Kiffin said there are "a lot" of players who did not practice because of injuries.

"I've got a feeling there's going to be a number of guys not even making this trip," he said.

He said some decisions might not be made until after Tuesday's workout "to see how a couple guys move around."

"If we rule them out at that point, for the most part, we're going to leave those guys and leave them here to rehab and get ready for the next game," he said.

Rice will be without arguably their top two defensive players when they face Texas A&M.   CB Phillip Gaines (C-USA preseason Defensive Player of the Year ) will serve a one game suspension for violating team rules and LB Cameron Nwosu will miss the opener due to an injury.

Gaines was second in the nation LY in pass breakups with 18 and Nwosu has started the last 25 games for the Owls at LB and was second on the team in tackles LY with 92.

 Whoever plays QB for the Aggies, their job has become a bit more easier.

Tulsa - Starting S Demarco Nelson has been suspended for at least week 1 vs. Bowling Green due to NCAA sanctions.

Nelson has started 39 consecutive games for Tulsa which is the second longest streak in the FCS. Only UGA's Aaron Murray has started more (41).
