Michigan/Colorado St Over 57.5. Let's see Wolv offense roll, Wolv D give up a few, and Norvel having the Rams sling it out all day.
Penn St at Purdue. Under 54.5 Both teams couldn't run the ball last yr, see little reason for that to change. Both teams D were pretty good with Lions #3 in nation last yr giving up .225 pts/ play, Boilermakers #32 with .333 pts/play.
Illinois -11 vs Wyoming. Connelly has Wyoming at 119th for returning production, Illinois with another seasoned, avg qb and a good OC. Think they get this one.
Ohio State to go undefeated regular season +155. (rsw over 11.5 games) Grabbed this one hoping it comes down to the Michigan game.

Former Golden Golpher coach Jerry Kill returns to Minnesota with his new HC job at NMSU. He had to resign at Minnesota due to epileptic seizures.
Will Fleck & Co. pound the former coach and his team by 39+ points? Hmmmm? DraftKings has the line -38.5.
I remember Jerry when he was at Saginaw Valley State, glad to see him back as a HC!
Penn St has been on my radar for a fade team. Why? The offensive line. Spring practice had only 11 O-linemen and they expect 17 by August. Five of those fresh out of high school. Line was not good last yr, one good injury from a very bad season this year. Defense has held them up, Diaz now taking over installing a simple one-gap style. They should be OK on D it seems. Lions offense went from averaging 34 pts a game 2018 & 2019 down to 26.3 in 2021. ( I throw out 2020 when trending) That O-line may hold up, even then how good are they?
Jim Knowles at Ohio St will be interesting to watch. Complicated defensive scheme, read a few grumblings from Buckeye D players early on. Seems Knowles was dumping a bunch on them this winter. May take awhile to grasp.
Ohio St needs to run the ball better. They were getting physically out played last year. Watched the Penn St game recently and the Lions pounded on them and nearly tied the game with 5 min left. Believe Ryan Day bringing in Justin Frye for the offensive line a very good move!
Michigan had a really good mindset last year throughout the spring and August. Not getting a feel this year about how they're doing. Better not be sitting back looking at those championship rings!
Minnesota ran the ball last year more than every team except the academies!! Guess when you have monster o-linemen like Faalele you do that. New OC Ciarrocca should have Morgan throwing more.

Good luck Uni .. man you positioning yourself to be rooting for the Bucks over Michigan then huh? ..
Yeah Colorado State's D sounds like maybe the big concern, we'll see .. first things first we gotta know what Carson Strong's understudy is all about .. also Nevada's offense really would stall out sometimes in games I liked the over in .. some games seemed like sure thing and just too often became hit and miss whether the total would hit .. I think good chance here because harbaugh probably looking to run it up but watch out for that this year I think the Rams are shoehorned in as big total makers, think im gunna be on the lookout for plays that might land the other way .. def not the opener though ..
Yeah I was on the Wyoming fade train early I mean Peasley at QB nothing behind him!! .. and just knowing Bohl's style of play and so much got gutted .. super 1 dimensional offense and a who knows on defense I think it takes a pretty ugly turn .. Phil is down on them but doesn't sound like he's gott'em in the basement, we'll see .. I'm hoping we see a reasonable line for week 4 vs Air Force, think it'll be a bloodbath ..

Minn was a super run team last year both in how much and how good .. and squeezed every bit of clock out on drives, go peep vs Iowa, think they were chewin up half a quarter on some of those .. huge stat skewer .. and style of play that can crush or get crushed .. look pretty good all year too, hang tough w Ohio State, beat Wisco .. then miami ohio gives em a run for their money .. lose to bowling green!?!!? .. yeah new/old OC brings it back together I think the RB room is one of the best and OL won't skip a beat, that great group of starters was there like 3 or 4 years and guys behind them are all super grown up I count the top 9 guys avg 6'6'' 320 LB's all at least RS Sophs some 3rd or 4th year .. 2 backups 6'7 backups are 325 and 355 LBs ... TE is 6'7'' 270 .. bunch of behemoths .... WR situation has to be awful to not get it down field and I'm just not worried about that .. Defense has questions but def trust the DC to have a few playmakers we'll see .. slow offense really good D = 18 pts / game LY .. def a team I'd see about playing totals or TT overs if I got the feeling they weren't gunna be just EPIC clock drainers again ..
Nebraska's OL looks pretty stout and deep too, new QB should have a wall to block for him .. I put a huge red flag on Iowa's OL. They got some height but 3 guys barely pushing 300 LB's and not lookin real deep either, I count 10 true sophs and above and most under 300 .. The RS FR not much bigger and they're all over the depth chart .. I got them last in the B10 on my size-and-depth-o-meter and thats below some pretty bad looking NW and Rutgers and even Mich State squads .. I got Penn State kinda mid pack on my chart here, agree the number of guys is concerning not so much the size ..

Just see it as a good spot to hedge a little. If Michigan +14 than ml around 4.5 could sprinkle enough to make money either way, provided Bucs make it that far undefeated. Don't think Bucs will get beat until Michigan game, at that point will know how well Knowles' defense turned out, and Michigan's too. Do not believe Penn St a factor here.

HA! Last year I picked up a copy of Lindys, they post OL weight, and right away I flag Iowa as light and inexperienced except for center Linderbaum. Took Minny or Wisc. to win the West. We know how that turned out.
They were light and still are. Yet Minny and Wisky gave it away. Maybe this year they pay for it.

ha yeah thats true, can only rely so much on roster weights and measures but don't doubt yourself your gut was right .. They needed every bit of their top 5ish defense land where they did, don't care if you use advanced or dumb stats, or retarded stats the offense was putrid, the model stat guys I like one has em 90th LY, another had em 106th ... better than UTEP, Vandy and UNLV sure but they weren't quite on South Florida's level lol .. really high sack rate too just 300 yds / game .. but then go +12 turnovers and a ton that went direct to paydirt, the D is gunna be strong again but even they lose a few big time players Phil has top 10 secondary because Moss is back and they have a good looking prospect, 3 of those guys are gone though .. I don't see any reason the offense moves out of the basement this year with Ferentz and Petras .. they lost a couple RB's and WR's, big underrated loss w Charlie Jones to Purdue .. great grab for them think its a big breakout year and he's also one of the best K/P returners and lose a real ace kicker, easily most important ST position, realllly tough to be top 10 in Sp Tms again .. just a bunch of things went against fading them LY but dude dogfight with NW and Ill .. Minny out-yarded them by 130, needed +3 TO's to beat Penn State by a FG .. then totally inept when the magic runs out vs Purdue, Wisco, Mich .. I'm totally opposite Phil's opinion he's bumpin the O almost a TD ppg this year, put em 1st in the division saying the OL is better w/out Linderbaum and WR's are better, i don't think so, they both might be worse .. very possible they eek out a nice record but I know what I'm doing with them ..

haha yep .. kid's a stick of dynamite, lotta ways to use him but Ferentz's kid is just such a dud at OC .. Boilers also snagged Tyrone Tracy from the hawkeyes, not a sure thing contributor but think he was a top 2 receiver with the last QB that was much better than the guy now so at least another capable guy ..
Nebraska is another OL to keep on the radar like 23 or so with a good height and weight, no way they dont have a good group of starters plus a boat load of other xfers in the door .. casey thompson picks up whipple's offense and there might be just too many viable division winners to be thinking Iowa or Wisco walk off w it easy .. gunna be a braaaawl on that side ..

9/10; Bama -16 vs Texas 1/2 unit. I liked this one and was waiting for less than -14. Not gonna happen especially with Texas 5th yr lineman going down.
Back to the B10;
9/1; NMSU +37.5 @ MINNY 1/2 unit. Going with Fleck won't kill Kill in this one.

Should add, that Texas 5th year lineman Angilau is REPORTED with serious knee injury and not CONFIRMED. He is seeking a second medical opinion. Sure doesn't look good though.

Don't sleep on the Iowa offensive line. Colby and Richman are the tackles and are pushing 320. Logan Jones is the next great center at Iowa. Already doing some impressive work in the weight room and has picked up the center spot rather quickly. Other two spots will be guys that are 315-325 range as well. They are loaded at TE, 3 good receivers(no depth after that), running backs that run hard. QB is everything here, Petras is the guy and if he doesn't turn the ball over and actually have time in the pocket they could do some serious damage. Their defense is loaded, they have an All American punter, and two really good young kickers. This is a Ferentz team that isn't ranked and he does his best work when teams think they are going to be down.

Thanks for the info! Reading good things about the Iowa offensive line. They will be young though.
"Massive strength-and-conditioning gains are what has Richman seeing better results. He candidly said Iowa didn’t look like a Big Ten offensive line last year, physically. The only starter that was listed at over 300 pounds a year ago was three-game right-guard starter Justin Britt (at 302). Iowa tried to survive with banged-up, undersized guards in Cody Ince (282) and Kyler Schott (294). The average weight of Iowa’s starting offensive line last year was 292 pounds.
Now, once Richman is back from a minor injury — he was withheld from the Kids Day scrimmage but said a day earlier he’s fine — the Hawkeyes’ potential starting five will be all sophomores-or-younger at an average size of 6-foot-5, 305 pounds."

Love betting BIG10 so gonna lean on your nuggets of advice occasionally
What really stood out for me, was why SPARTY was rated so high with 75% of their defenders returning and they had a real down year defensively like I haven't seen in a long while, especially that secondary
Also, Michigan....Wisky and Penn St. had a lot of turnover over players on at least one side of the ball yet are rated pretty highly despite the SEC being easily the strongest conference
Like every year, the dust will settle after about 7-8 games in
BOL this season
Beer is gotta be earned from winning or hard work. Andy Dufresne agrees.
