I don't see OU winning it all the have a terrible bcs record at 0-5 lately i really think Texas will beat them, an Oklahoma St.will give them a run for there money an make it a close game. No national title this year for the Sooners

Nobody appreciates a true triple option offense more than me....But the real change that needs to be made is to finally replace the guy who seems to fold like a lawn chair every bowl season...0-5 in 5 long years....Big-Game-Bob??? Give me a break!!!

He has no imagination and seems to always make the wrong call on the field at the wrong time....I'd almost trade him straight up for Charley Weis......

Stoops looked almost Frozen on the sidelines in the last 10 minutes of last years NC game.  I ALMOST felt sorry for him.  Unfortunately Sooner nation has become VERY satisfied with being a runner up team, so he goes nowhere anytime soon.

I think winner of UT OU definitely has excellent chance at championship game...
 
The bedlam game @ Oklahoma is the wild card if OU beats TEXAS
 
The OSU game @ Oklahoma State is the wild card if Texas beats OU
 
That makes OSU this years version of Texas Tech...

Some reasons to back up this pick:
 
1) The obvious - Sam Bradford is back for his junior year after winning the Heisman Trophy with a pass rating of 180.8.  This guy is sick with a 50-8 TD/Int. ratio last year.  Expect another 40+ TD season this year.
2) The running game is once again explosive with Murray and Brown back after both eclisped 1000 yards last year.  A solid running attack takes pressure off Bradford (he does not have to be one dimensional).
3) They took a hit in the receiving corps but Gresham and Broyles are back with 100+ catches and 20 TDs LY between the two.  Murray is a solid pass catcher out of the backfield as well.  They will be fine here.
4) The defense returns 9 starters and will be a solid stop unit once again.
5) This offense was held under 50 points only twice - once by TCU (one of the top D units around) and once by Texas.  Still put up 35 in both games. Don't forget about the 60+ points closing out the last 5 games prior to the NC.
6) The O line must reload; this is true.  But Stoops has had to reload here before and has had success.
7) Florida must go through the rugged SEC schedule with LSU on the road and must win the SEC Championship game.
 
I'll take my chances here that FLA will trip up.
 
UM, Nebraska and Tech are not big concerns and Bedlam is at OU.

sooners piled up yards vs W E A K  run D's of big 12........however ...when they NEEDED to.....couldn't run AT ALL....with a TREMENDOUS OL........(0.7 vs  TCU........1.8  vs  horns........3.7  vs fla).......with OL no where near as good as LY......wouldn't count on running game in games that matter.....(except okie st)

Not even the best team in there conf. Texas is and sec will take it again this year like the two before

Not hating here....serious quesiton.  Have you ever seen Bradford lead this team to victory in a tough spot?  He dominates all the blow outs but last year, in the 4th, he could not do anything against TX when OU needed him the most.  Then in the NC game, he threw a pic and then four consecutive incompletions for the last two OU possessions of the game.  I am seriously beginning to view Bradford as a stat queen that chokes in tight spots.  Correct me if you have an example of him pulling out a win or a game winning drive.

I do not consider the BIG 12 championships they have won big games, because the south is a mismatch over the north, or it has been.

As a HUGE OU fan, the only 2 things that concern me are:1) Special Teams..... I can recruit 5 star players but I cannot get anyone to return kicks and/or punts but my 5 star starting RB.  Two years in a row Murray has injured himself on ST...... A. Tennell injured himself 2 years ago @ tt.  ST last year cost the team alot of points and  skwed the defensive numbers...... and bet it will cost them a game (OKst or Tx)?????. 2) Coaching...... (end of season coaching)....... LY>>>>> the offensive play calling in NC game.....If you are no huddle team then be a no huddle team, don't change your who you are.  2 years ago...... defensively we weren't prepared for WV......... Bob needs to take alook at final game preparations.

Not concerned with BYU, Miami, Kansas, Texas Tech ........ concerned about at Neb. and Texas.........

 

O-line will be fine.... WR will be fine (Multi- spread formation w/ quick timing routes)............ concerned about depth at DB's

I totally agree!!!! OU wins the national title!! They will beat Texas and run the table! They were a better team than Florida last year! Also if they get beat by Texas, Texas will lose to OK state and they will all have one loss and OU goes again b/c the schedule might be the toughest in the nation!!!!!!

Dont forget about the big 12 championship game....will have to face KU or NU....... more than likely....it is in arlington so they should have the crowd....but those texas fans sure do hate them so mabey not.....

I'm going on record to agree with BEE.  Gotta go with the ninth year starter, Bradford.  If this isn't OK's year, it ain't gonna come for quite a while.  I'm not saying it's gonna be easy.  There are plenty of chances for a let down or a bad bounce here or there, as always.  But this team and these coaches have got to know this is their best opportunity for some time.

And yes, they've sucked in bowl games the past few, but they put a beat down on FSU to win it all in the Orange Bowl once upon a time.  So Stoops hasn't lost them all.

Gators (easiest SEC and non-conference schedule imaginable) v. Sooners for the crystal ball.  Florida's biggest hurdle: the SEC Championship Game.
