every year, phil steele and others place them in the top 5, sometimes #1 or #2, and they continue to disappoint,

how do you not beat a kansas st team at home when kans st cannot even throw the football,

stoops took you guys to 4 bcs title games,

you lost to LSU by 7 in their backyard

you lost to USC, the greatest dynasty of the last 20 yrs, in 2004

you lost to Florida who was another mini dynasty with Tebow, and of course they game was in miami so down the state from gainesville,

stoops can coach because he gets the second best recruits from texas, the longhorns get the first,

there is something missing the last 3 yrs, but don't turn on Stoops because you were sucking his cock and licking his jizz from 1999 to 2003 i guarantee it

There aren't many coaches that have been to 4 BCS titlle games.

This.  No shame in losing to LSU or UF.  Both games were super close, and both were essentially road games.

Something has been "wrong" the last few years.  We ran a bunch of guys off last offseason, and I think that hurt us in the experience/depth departments.  OU's program isn't going away, but most OU fans wondered before the season started if we were really a top 5 team.  We aren't.  Doesn't mean we aren't a good team though, and that Stoops isn't a good coach.  Coaching didn't lose the game tonight.  Klein did nothing, and OU moved the ball.  We just have a QB that is mistake prone at times.  Not every game.  Not every big game.  He was good at KSU last year.  He was good in Dallas against UT last year.  But he is inconsistent.  Today he wasn't very good.

Yep.  I get putting Saban and Meyer ahead of him.  Maybe even Carroll if you overlook the cheating.  But after that, no coach has accomplished more over the last 12 seasons.

Ya, something is wrong with OU.  I agree.  I figured losing Venables would do the trick. But tonight, Snyder was what was wrong with OU.  KSU punched them in the mouth and they didn't have enough to respond.  

But...Klein did nothing?  What the fuck? The Cats ran for 213 yds and Klein had 80 of them.  He passed for 62%, which is all you have to do in this offense.  This team has his attitude.  

It's the same old story for KSU tonight....the "better" team left the field wondering what the fuck just happened...

KSU didn't do squat for 3 quarters.  On offense, they couldn't move the ball much, and couldn't score.  On defense, they couldn't stop OU until OU stopped themselves.  Call me a whiner on that point all you want, but the KSU defense didn't cause Landry to drop the ball at the 1, or for Bell to fumble at the other 1.  Those were unforced, and resulted in a 14 point swing.  OU outgained, and out-first downed KSU.  Most of KSU's rushing yards came on the last two drives, which resulted in 7 points.

This KSU team will lose 2-4 regular season games.  And had OU not turned the ball over like a bunch of tards, they probably would have lost tonight.  Yes, KSU is tough.  But they aren't that good.  Just like they weren't that good last year, even after 7-0 start.  Likely a 4th place Big 12 team at best.

And for the record, I'm not bashing KSU, or trying to take away from their win.  But some wins are simply given to a team, and tonight was the definition of that.  In my book at least.  OU only had a few more yards, and one more score against UTEP than they did tonight.  OU's offense has problems right now.  That is nothing the UTEP or KSU defenses did.  That is all I'm trying to say.

I agree. klein may not of been lights out but they always seemed to keep the drives going when they needed them when it mattered (at least in the second half) and Klein was a player in that.

its odd when qbs get worse, rarely happens but denard and landry are first that come to mind this year

ou is always overrated because they have played in a conference which has been shit other than a good year here or there from tex tech or okie state...texas hasnt been relevant in 5 years so dont go there.

    .Sorry.  When a number 6 team loses to inferior talent on the field.....at home.....the way they did....it ain't the players, the team, the school or the program. It's the primadonna coach. Overrated..Overrated..Overrated.

    He took them to all those BCS games by playing "regular season" games and winning them. OU's tradition is national championships and dominating the regular season.  That tradition is long gone. It won't have a chance of ever coming back until Stoop-id is long gone.

    Why is it that so many on here think OU is so loaded with talent?  In 2008 they brought in the #13 rated high school class in the country.  In 2009, it was rated 10th.  In 2010, they had a great class that was ranked #2 (many of this class are major team contributors).  In 2011, OU's class was 15th and in 2012 it was 10th.  Decent classes.....certainly........elite?.......hardly.  That's the problem.  THEY DON'T RECRUIT THE WAY THEY USED TO. 

    Somebody on here recently used the word "eunuch".  When I hear that word, I think of Laundry Jones.  The boy just doesn't have "it". Great when things are going well.........not the kind of QB who can take a team on his back and will a win.  Pea-Hearted if you will.

    In week one of the season, UTEP gashes OU between the tackles with their run game.  Then OU demolishes the School of the Blind in week 2.  Then OU lays two touchdowns to a tough well coached team that also figures to be most effective with a power inside game.  How does that line get driven all the way up to 16 1/2? Sports betting.....what a great game!
