imagine the ones that go to B10 schools and play against them...apparently O'Brien passed 6 illinois guys with briefcases at the airport the other day and probably a lot of similar stuff happening with other schools welcome to come on your campus if they call ahead

Doesn't anyone see the irony here? In deriding Penn State, the NCAA said that it was necessary to deliver its punishment in order to correct a culture where athletics had become too big, too important. And yet, right now, there are literally scores of coaches from schools across the country camped out on Penn State's campus stalking the football players like hungry packs of wolves. The NCAA sanctioned this. Unreal. How can anyone take the NCAA seriously? Don't mistake what I'm saying, the players have every right to leave and I wouldn't blame them if they did. But there is no reason the NCAA should allow this to go on in the manner that it's occurring. It completely slaps the face of what they are supposedly trying to correct. I also find it interesting that the NCAA was already caught in a lie after only one day. Penn State admin stated that the NCAA threatened the death penalty so they basically had to accept the punishment. The NCAA prez came out immediately and said that wasn't true. Then the next day, guess what? He admits that it was true. Is this really the proper organization that should be dealing with this mess? I think not. The NCAA is nothing but a corrupt, self-serving, hypocritical organization.

since the ncaa wanted to act so fast here and rush everything, they had no plan in place on this kind of stuff happening. failing to plan is planning to fail.

O'Brien just needs to loosen up. He has his excuse, but trying to control the things he can control is a mood point. The NCAA is totally wrong on the way they went about this. I agree with the penalties, but to make it open season on all their current players is putting people that were not related to the cause in a situation that will take years off their lives. We should know by next Monday if they stick like glue or starting falling like a bunch of dominoes.
