Thanks again for the help yestderday with the Wolfpack. Like all these but Rice scares me just because EVERYONE is on them, ala Cent Mich and Troy. Also like the over in the Terps game.
BOL!!

bibendi, within this thread you claim that you locked your plays on Rice and Ok St weeks ago when the lines first came out. Sure enough, as per your original "bibendi special" thread you had those 2 plays listed.
But when those lines came out they were Rice -3, and Ok St -3 1/2, which is what you posted your plays at in your "bibendi special" thread ... now in this thread you claim you got Rice at -2 1/2, and Ok St at -2 1/2 after buying the hook.
Tweaking the lines seems very toutish to me.
I'm not bashing you, just pointing out the discrepancies.
BOL on your plays

Alright Maryland vs. Nevada on Smurf Turf. A lot of the reasoning behind Nevada I have read in posts has nothing to do with football. It has to do with motivation, time zone, etc. I have yet to see anything football related other than Nevada is going to run all over Maryland. So I went to the drawing board. First of all, Nevada is the worst passing defense in the country. Maryland threw for 360 yards in their last game against BC which has a decent passing defense. How are they going to get stopped? This isnt like Northwestern last night who had a competent defense. Nevada has no passing defense. The key to beating Maryland I have seen first hand. I was at the Virginia Tech Thursday Night game and they buckled down on Hayward-Bey and mitigated their passing attack. Florida St did the same thing in their victory. FSU was also able to establish a rushing attack but it had more to do with Antone Smith's physical running. The same with VT and Darren Evans. Two extremely physical backs who wore down the defense. Has anyone seen that twig Kaepernick? This dude is quick but hes not exactly imposing. Their other back is definitely a bit of a bruiser and that worries me but another angle nowhere is mentioning is that Maryland had a month to prepare for this gimmick offense. Any team with a good defense that gets a month to prepare should be ready. Maryland did recently lose their defensive coordinator but this may actually help Maryland with their motivation. The linebacker coach is taking over on an interim basis and the players seem to like him so they have stated they will be playing hard for him today. Also, I like to look at how Nevada has performed on the road. Most recently, they were playing Louisiana Tech. They showed incredible road resiliency in coming back from a 31-14 deficit, but to be down 17 points at a squad that struggled to beat Northern Illinois? Interestingly enough, Maryland has yet to really play a team with a running QB so it should be interesting. I just think with a month to prepare they should be ready to go. They did hold the almighty Jevad Best to 25 yards on 10 carries. He is not an overly physical back either. Basically what I see is the ACC outclassing the WAC here. ACC is 5-0 ATS this year with closing lines. Turner is going to throw all over this defense. I dont expect much out of the Maryland rushing game although Da'Rel Scott can be a monster if they arent prepared to stop him. I think Nevada will put up some points but dont see them doing so through the air. Nevada is going to have to pound the ball all game to have a chance here. I just think the wrong team is favored here. The teams Nevada have lost to have been the teams that Nevada has had the most trouble defending the pass against
Prediction:
Maryland-31 Nevada-24

i'm sure you've noticed, but your beloved ACC has quietly gone 5-0 ATS so far in the bowls... making me feel better and better about our VT pick later in the week...

Well to avoid the wrath of the Box and spoil the surprise....
That was my original post Hugh. Where I stated that I got the hook on both of them. I now see that you can get both of those lines at -2.5. I bought more of Rice -2.5 and also bought more of OK St. at -2.5 with the hook again. So yes I do still have a chunk on OK St. at -3. Wasnt trying to fool anyone

MD QB, Turner is no sure thing. The passing game enjoyed a nice day against a decent BC defense, but not over the course of the entire year. Each teams' defense is nothing spectular to shut down the other, so I will base my opinion heavily between the offenses and then coaching. I usually side with teams that have explosive, unstoppable running games, and Nevada has a dynamic one. MD has stunned me before, so I wouldnt be surprised, but they are too inconsistent to receive my bet today.
