Nothing too complicated so far, games should get more competitive as the conferences start but for now there are quite a few mismatches and some games I just don't have a good feel for. Rather than just plaster plays I'm trying to stay disciplined and not reach, though I'm still miffed how there were 52 FH points in the Stanford/USC game and it didn't end up going over 70 .
LSU (-10): I think the fact that this game is being played on the early side is better for LSU as they just have a lot more talent than Mississippi State. The Tigers will have to be strong on the defensive front as MSU will bring a very competent running game. But the LSU offense will be too much, the trends favor the Tigers as they have all but owned Mississippi State over the years, and if LSU jumps ahead, as I think they will, it might be hard for Will Rogers, as solid as he is, to comeback given the new offense they are running. I'm always a bit wary of going against the spiritual presence of Mike Leach, but with LSU RB John Emery Jr, also set to return, I think the Tigers get the job done on the road.
COLORADO (-23.5)...BIG PLAY!!!: I'm not playing this game because of the trends, which have seen past CO teams cover 9 of the last 10 in the series. I'm not even really playing this game because of this years performances, as Colorado has established themselves as a contender in both the conference as well as the FBS. But when someone like Deion Sanders, the CO coach, takes the words of the Colorado State coach, intended to motivate his own team, and says it has turned things "personal", I ride the coat tails of Deion. I expect that the Buffaloes easily win here BUT, I also expect Deion to run up the score. Even if they are up 21 in the 4th, he will want to trash his in-state rivals just based on the banter during the week. NOW...add in that Colorado is 9-1 ATS in the last 10 head to head against the Rams, and that they have two potential Heisman performers on their team who will want to pad stats, and I'm making this an early big play.
Loads of games later but wanted to post the Colorado game now as the line is just going to keep moving up in my opinion. Hopefully everyone has had a strong week and is ready to profit today. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...

OVER 54 (SOUTH CAROLINA/GEORGIA)...BIG PLAY!!!: I have played this angle for years between these two sides and obviously it's cashed or I wouldn't be going back to the well. I see a blowout but I think that South Carolina will be able to put up at least 17 points. If they don't, Georgia will lay 50 on them. If they do, I am confident that Georgia will be able to score at least 35 on their own. I know, when you add the two, that only gives you 52. But I am not predicting a 35-17 final, though it obviously could happen, but that both sides SHOULD reach these levels. Something tells me it's going to comfortably hit so trusting the trends, my intuition, and my gut here.
