For those stupid enough to follow along - intrepid MEGALOCKS staff member CHUCK BUCKLEY followed up his ULM miracle from wk 1 with a Wake Forest SHITBURGER last wk.....What could possibly go wrong today?
Tulane meets our key criteria.
1. Team is pure filth
2. Situational angle - Ole Miss sandwich game off Texas blowout - Alabama next
3. Power rating differential - We have the fair line at 13. Tulane a play at 17.5. Ole Miss at 9.5.
We also get an X FACTOR. Tulane had an extra wk off to get their FREAK QB Devin Powell ready to go this wk - Phil Steele says he is like M Vick but with a better arm and quicker feet....Who are we to argue?? The stats look horrid. Tulane did play a very good Rutgers team close wk 1 and covered...They got blown out by Tulsa wk 2 which they do every year....So statistically there is not much to hang the hat on - but - this is a step down in class in terms of their offense vs opposing D....Tulane is not Texas BUT Ole Miss got gashed for 700 yds last wk so Tulane at a minimum will be able to generate some offense at some point in time.
Good spot for Tulane to shock the world. Or lose by 45. Good luck.
