The vig is a given, meaning you don't have to list -110 every play. What it doesn't mean, fraud idiot, is you track units without the losses from vig.

Think about what that entails. It means you track a record every year that is 20+ units off from your actual units?

So you could think you are even for the the year when you are actually -20 (what is that, $2,000?)? This is acceptable accuracy?

Of course it isn't, meaning you're a fraud attention person who bets monopoly money and wants the units to be as high as possible to make yourself look good.

BOL. Also had to note how Oregon could pretty much score at will and will give USC a run for the money in the PAC 12. Everyone else in that conference is way behind.

Great post, Boom. All your points dead on. I loved Vandy this week-I think Franklin is going to be able to keep them competitive and able to cover ATS more often than not, Agree with you on NW-Syr; didn't play it, but had me until the end. Looking forward to more picks from you this season!

You should know better to realize what was going on in that game, Florida played all the new Freshmen on both sides of the ball yesterday and funny how those were the guys make the mistakes, especially on that punt fake where a true Frosh didn't keep contain and let the punter get outside of contain. Simple mistakes from freshmen on assignments on defense that led to both of BG's touchdowns.

Im about as pessimistic of a Gator fan as you will find but I also understand the sport and have played it myself a long time and sat through hours upon hours studying it.. You yourself should know what it's like when a team has a new OC and scheme while playing it close to the vest when you aren't very good on that side of the ball to begin with. Muschamp was the one calling the predictable run plays on 3rd downs with BG stacking 8 in the box and the penalties killed drives getting behind the chains. This game was a mere scrimmage to the coaches as they let everyone play a lot and they made a lot of mistakes mentally that made the game closer than it should have been. UF is going to be in a lot of close games this year because of the style they play, which makes it even more vital not to make mistakes when you are slowing the game down running the ball 40 plus times.. you just can't afford it. Clemson was being played with by fucking Wofford looking ahead just last year and ended up going to the Orange Bowl. You would have to be pretty naive to expect UF to look like this next week in a big game. Until that happens, it would be the more knowledgable thing to do holding off judgement or proclamations of a 4 win season.

Good observations Boom. Here are few of my thoughts related to them FWIW …

You’re correct, the Gators laid a big, fat black turd on Saturday. Cost me a lot of money, more than it should have (my own stupidity) … I honestly wonder if Muschamp is a very good HC… He still seems like a young kid trying to put on a good face, the truth is he’s been there a while & UF ain’t gettin better even though they have a lot of talent; Jury on Will is still out …

Michigan St., too, could not believe what D’Antonio did to screw us out of a cover…. IM(Very)HO you *always* take the opportunity to go up two scores – I don’t care how little time is left, you have a bell cow like Bell (pun intended), you give him the ball and go up two scores. Taking a knee is chicken shit, particularly if there is a center exchange fumble – it happens – and the opposition can then tie or win because you didn’t go up two scores.

Bama, based on week 1 the best team in the country. Michigan isn’t that bad, they were just dominated on both lines of scrimmage – like everyone else Bama plays this season except for LSU. I would love to take the Wolverines this week but they opened at -21 – I was hoping more like -15 – and it’s too much to bite for me. Michigan is a good team they just got whipped by the best team in the country right now;

Big congrats to Clemson. Personally I can’t stand Chizik & love the fact he’s getting exposed for the mediocre coach he is. The question of course w/ Clemson is consistency; can Dabo keep them focused to play to their capability week in/out? If so, *nobody* will want to play Clemson this year;

The thing I liked the most about the Oregon/Ark St game – Gus Malzahn. Like all great coaches – wherever he goes, they win; whenever he leaves, they get worse. Any big school program looking for a new HC would do well by hiring him;

Penn St. was crap, you’re right. In honesty, I think their new coach – even though a good man and I am sure has done all the right things w/ that situation – is in over his head. I’m not saying that based only on the team’s performance in one game, but his interviews and public comments on both the overall situation as well as gameplan … he’ll never lead Penn St. to sustained success on the field. He’s interim.

Ditto w/ u on NW/Cuse – what a great game. Hated that Syracuse had to lose after coming back so brilliantly. Don’t know if I would take them this week against USC, but hats off to what they have going on there – definitely they are moving in the right direction;

Not impressed with the Cocks. Lots of athletes but if they don’t get some QB production in a hurry, they lose 3 games this year – at least;

Most impressive team I saw this week from a discipline/coaching perspective? BY-fuckin’U. They played fundamentally excellent football. They continue playing like that BYU can win 10 ballgames this year….

Great job on your write-ups as always .... Love the Utah pick; I'll be playing it as well .... BOL wk 2 ....
