Boom-

I follow LSU very closely and this year's team is not close to being as good as last year's team. Every game they have given up big plays in the secondary. While very good, their defense is not as good as last year's unit. Offensively they are exactly the same. Mettenberger has been a huge disappoinment. In all the games I have gon,e to the offensive coordinator has tried to open it up and pass more but without much success.Then they just go back to handing the ball off. This will not work against Bama. Mettenberger looks very uncomfortable back there and he gets nervous just like Lee and Jefferson when there is pressure. The Tiger offensive line is very banged up. The game plan for Bama will be simple. Load up the box and dare them to beat you through the air. The Alabama offense is light years ahead of last years unit. This could get ugly. I see Alabama scoring early, taking the crowd out of it and winning 27-6. That is the best case scenario. I really think 38-3 could be the final score. This will be my third max bet game of the season- my bookie owes me big after tearing him up the last few weeks and I already called him and told him to keep everything. I am debating just how big I will be on this game. It pains me bet against my team but sometimes the truth hurts. 

I would take a look at ULM - they are favored by 10 over ULL- the game is at ULM and they will crush ULL> This will be another huge play for me.

lol you are talking like LSU is NC State. bama hasn't played a defense in the top 70's yet much less in an atmosphere like that. The game will be close, plain and simple.

Have you watched LSU this year? Offensively they are pitiful- Mettenberger is worse than Lee and just a little better than Jefferson. He has been a huge disappointment. Against Towson they were behind in the second quarter. They had to come from behind to beat the worst Auburn team in 20 years. 12-10!! They lost to Alabama 21-0 last year with the same offense and a superior defense. If Alabama stuffs their running game then how does LSU win? They can't pass the ball- Mettenberger was 11 for 29 with 97 yards against a shitty A&M secondary. He was 12-25 for 147 yards against a South Carolina secondary that Tyler Bray shredded. He was 11-25 for 158 yds against Florida. At least Jefferson could scramble. Mettenberger would have a hard time beating Tom Brady in the 40 yard dash. He is a statue back there..Offensively Alabama has opened it up and their defense won't allow LSU much. LSU's defense is very good but not up to par with last year's unit. They also don't have a play maker on special teams which they had last year. Could we see a close first half with Bama pulling away in the second half? yep- but I will put my money that Bama can at least win 20-10. LSU is a magic place at night and Miles has had some big time luck. This is one instance where I feel that these factors won't come into play.

What confused you about my statement?  All I said was that OU was a better team when Notre Dame beat them than when Kansas State beat them.  I agree.....I'd take Kansas State over Notre Dame also.

I think OU has been the same all year. They had one good game vs TT.

Stacy McGee, projected starter at DT before the season, and Jalen Saunders, who has been OU's best receiver in several games, did not play against Kansas State.  Also, the Kansas State game was the first of the season for another DT starter, Casey Walker, who said himself he was way out of shape for that game.  Defensively, the team that OU put on the field against Notre Dame was the best they've had all year.  I guess we will just, as they say, agree to disagree.  On the other hand, you've been "en fuego" lately, so I should probably just defer to you.  Keep riding the heater.

There are many aspects to being a college football coach, and Lesticle does some well, and others not so much.  Overall I think he's one of the worst coaches in the SEC.  IMO the only three coaches in the SEC that are worse than Lesticle are Chizik, Joker, Richt.

Have you watched Bama play this year? They could be in the top 5 in offense if they didn't shut it down at the end of the 3rd quarter every game. McCarron has had a great year and has only thrown 20 4th quarter passes in 8 games. This offense is very good and the best in the Saban era. I don't care what the competition is they are destroying it every week. Last week MSU was supposed to be a big step up in competition. No way Bama can cover 24 on the road?!? They almost had that covered in the 1st quarter. The defense isn't as strong but it is still the best defense in the country.

MSU is the same team every year and if you saw my thread last week you know I was all over Bama.

This game should easily be TIDE victory but who can forget what happened last regular season BEWARE especially as well BAMA has been playing, they may be in for a REAL tussle @ LSU Just sayin......

Boom, Bama/LSU, O/U is 42.5.    i don't see how this game goes over.   LSU won't score much and you know their defense will showup.  but why didn't the linesmen set this lower?  seems really easy which makes me nervous.
