LSU -5.5
Never underestimate the #1 overall pick, 3 NFL WRs, an NFL TE, and and NFL RB all in the same college offense

Im taking Clemson first half +3.5. Its the national championship both of these teams are NFL caliber type teams. Time and time again the college football playoffs and and championships are where the underdog rules the first half of these games

I don't hate it and I do realize -5.5 is a huge spread for the championship but I really do think this is a good matchup for LSU.

Don’t disagree on the draft - but that is based on future development potential. Burrow is much better right now. Burrow would also be undefeated against the ACC over 2 years on a powerhouse team going against Georgia Tech and NC State

Me neither. But those guys were Heisman hopefuls though and it’s different systems.

It's hard to believe people can't even remember last season. Clemson doesn't just play ACC teams. Clemson played Alabama last year, as did LSU. Joe Burrow's team scored ZERO. Trevor Lawrence's team scored 44. in three quarters, before the teams just ran out the clock. |

Maybe... LSU was 20-1 odds in June to win the Natty (and even better earlier). Assuming he got those odds he'd be winning freaking $10,000. Clemson is +200 ML, it would only take a $500 bet to guarantee your money back. Again, foolish not to hedge when the hedge would only cost you 5% of your potential winnings.

I think LSU wins by double digits. Unlike Ohio St, they dont mess up in the red zone and Burrow doesn't miss many throws he certainly wont throw picks. It's so hard to win back to back and if you look at how close UNC came to beating Clemson I think LSU is a team with similar strengths but is on a whole higher level to them. If it wasnt for the ejection drive which also had a huge PI call where basically the refs gave Clemson a TD which turned the game hugely they were getting shut out I think we see another game where LSU just keeps scoring. Clemson will score a good bit too but my prediction:
44-31 Final Score

It was exactly 20-1 but I am not hedging for multiple reasons... First, as inconegro said, I don't need the money. Second, I am that confident in LSU winning straight up (spread is a whole other thing). And third, I am an actual LSU fan so LSU simply losing will be bad enough where I do not care about $500.
