This seems like the best thread regarding the subject...

I am new to the scene but had a great start at 4-1 yesterday.  ( I am sure the beginner's luck will wear off soon.)  Oklahoma seems like the obvious play, and that is what worries me.  Bradford has been the best freshman in the nation and has an incredibly efficient style.  The concern with WVU is the OU defense.  They are physical and quick.  My doubts about WVU started well before the Pitt debacle (does anybody remember them losing to S Fla?)  In my opinion WVU was doing poorly that game well before White hurt his hand.  I think WVU is overmatched period however +7.5/8 is a lot of points if this turns into a back and forth contest.  I want to tease it down to half a point but I don't know what to pair it with... Thinking about Wisky in College hoops... Any suggestions???

Sport - You sold me!  I saw that rush was on it but he has only been about 50% lately (bowl games) but you sold me with that Redskins pick against the Vikings on the 23rd.  WOW - the Redskins looked good - I was there and the Vikings couldn't run against them and couldn't stop Portis and Collins looked like a seasoned veteran.  I think your team could make some noise in the NFC playoffs.  Because of this and your write up you have changed my mind from JUMPING on the Sooners to taking the WV squad that lost to Pitt (YES - Lost to a crappy PITT team coached by the mad mustache).  At least now if and when WV passes up Oklahoma I won't have to be pissed when Stoops stands there with that Stupid look on his face like what went wrong??

I hate the fact that I'm on the other side here, because I love your stuff SF, but I can't get past WVU 5 fumbles last out at Pitt.  Then I read your article about having "fun." 

You don't overcome five fumbles by having fun!  You overcome five fumbles by having a size 12 stuck up your ass everytime the pigskin touches grass.  (like Rodriguez would have done)

I can't get past the coacing change and five fumbles.

JOHN WILLIAMS HAS BEEN OUT FOR MOST OF THE YEAR, REGGIE SMITH IS A CORNER, NOT A SAFETY, ALLEN PATRICK IS THE FEATURE BACK, DEMARCO MURRAY IS THE CHANGE OF PACE, ADRON TERREL ISNT A FACTOR, AND HASNT BEEN A FACTOR ALL YEAR. THE ONLY SIGNIFICANT LOSS ON THAT LIST IS DEMARCUS GRANGER, BUT I DONT SEE HOW A SOLID LINEBACKING CORE WILL ALLOW STEVE SLATON TO GO ANYWHERE. IM ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE, BUT THOSE INJURIES MIGHT HELP YOUR CAUSE FOR THE OVER, BOL2U, YOUVE BEEN A SOLID CAPPER ALL YEAR...

feel the same way, most of the reasons ive heard for ok have more to do with rich rodriguez then the actual west virginia or oklahoma team.  I could be wrong and they may fall apart without him but if this game was played before west virginia lost to pitt and ok rolled in the big 12 championship game it would probably be a pk maybe wv favored. I could see ok rolling but I also could see west virginia winning so ill take the points. great writeup

been reading your posts for awhile, but have to disagree tonight.
 
WVU's defense is good, but those numbers came against a lackluster big east conference.  Meanwhile, OU's played Texas Tech, Mizz twice, and Texas who are much better offenses than UConn, Cincy, South Florida, and Louisville.  In the backyard brawl, Pitt was a couple holding calls away from putting up around 24 points, and they only passed 19 times, while pounding the ball and winning the TOP battle by 13 minutes.  What will OU do if Pitt could do that in WVU's house?
