The defenders of BB are not debating his boneheaded time management at the end of the Colts game but merely his decision to go for the 4th down.There is nothing to defend here. His time management was even more boneheaded. I have no idea what he was planning on doing with that timeout.There were around 21 seconds when the 3rd down play ended and they didn&#x27;t call timeout until 9 seconds were left.What they did after the catch was like watching a monkey f*@k a football. His quote was he didn&#x27;t think they could get the field goal team out in time. However, apparently he thought his team could snap the ball and spike it in less then a second giving them time to trot out the FG team.If they would have tried to score a TD on the snap it still would have been boneheaded but at least it would have been some sort of attempt to win.Pathetic.

&#xD;&#xA;Not even remotely the same thing....&#xD;&#xA;Belichick was making a strategic decision....One that was mathematically correct.  I suppose you can quibble with the probabilities but it was still an intentional move.&#xD;&#xA;That Les Miles thing was just pure negligence.&#xD;&#xA;Clock management (and 4th down go/no go calls) are one of the things coaches can directly control.  How did he not think "Do I call a timeout or not if this play misses..." after 3rd down?  &#xD;&#xA;Absolutely horrible.  They needed to call TO the second the guy hit the ground.  If they did, they would have had plenty of time to spike it.

Almost all the carnies (LSU fans) I know think he is an average (at best) coach.  He won that NC with Saban&#x27;s players and his team won it despite him.  You give him a team like SCAR, Tenn, or Ark and there is no way he would even make a bowl game.
