Hey bro money is tight here in my house at the moment. So placing flat bets for what I would like to our out of the question. I live in Las Vegas so I have access to the rip off parlay cards they have to offer. I went to the Red Rock Hotel and Casino on Wednesday to bet the Tampa Bay Rays in the "resumption game" as the ticket stated. Well before I get all of you guys in here laughing at me for betting a parlay, like I said,
money is shit, my wife has been sick for a year and blah, blah, blah. Long story short I threw a 6 teamer together at 52-1 for $50.00.
Miami +2.5
Purdue-1.5
Clemson+4.5
Wisconsin+4.5
Syracuse+13.5
Texas-4 (Ouch)
My wife and I were watching the game like we had the last number of the fuckin PowerBall ticket. Well we were doomed from the start and were just siting here laughing about it now. It's all good, the payout would of helped us at the moment but it didn't happen. So my point is you can quit like you say or keep pluggin away. Most of us on here can't do this for a living, I just have to mess around for fun at this time.
I came home from a softball tournament at 3:00 Pacific time with 4 games in and 2 teams left to cash out around $2500. My wife looked at me and smiled with the confident look that she always has but just doesn't understand when you're laying 4 and down 6 with 2:00 to play you're pretty much doomed. God bless her.

Yea and fuck my life too. This shit can be tough sometimes but handing your hard earned money over to 18-22 year olds and their retarded fuckin coaches will do that to you.

If you and your family are healthy, you are blessed.
So lighten up on yourself and bet the Jets moneyline tomorrow
I never post, I'm a little on edge, I know alot of guys in here have probably seen or been close to my situation. I'm just trying to see what kind of reaction I get. I'll probably never start my own post, but I get a kick out of this place.

Bad week here too. I feel your pain. I think sometimes taking time away from all these numbers, analysis and sports in general can be very good for you. I think if you are losing big you should do what I am about to do after today...
Quit. But leave your money in the account, at least enough for a few big bets. Keep watching sports, which I assume you enjoy. Then when the time comes and you see a matchup for the next week you know will end a certain way, log on and bet it.
I was 6-0 on bets over the course of two years before deciding to do it every week last season. I have hardly made anything overall and nothing compared to the time lost, time I could have spent making cash in other ways. Lost the under on the Tech game last night and am reevaluating this expensive hobby of mine...
My solution is to throttle back. Make far less bets. Don no philosophies. And wait for something to come along that I simply cannot deny. I think doing that I will hit over 70% easily, just like before. Maybe not risking money can be "action" in itself.
