I'm all on the over in the Notre Dame/UNR game.  Pistol offense is not a typical spread that ND has faced in recent years.  I doubt ND has spent much time practicing for UNR anyway which should bode well for the over-- solid skill players for both teams and a lack of respect for UNR should help the score sore well over the total-- not that UNR will win necessarily, but 4+ tds from each team is not a stretch by any means

Nevada can move the ball.  The thing that worries me here is that ND has months to prepare for Nevadas pistol offense, instead of a week.  But really - this is crappy ND - and anytime you want to bet against this team this year you should be getting several gift points to do so.

As far as VT goes, they always seem to have trouble scoring points - and I agree - they wont put up 24+ in this one.  Im not buying the bama hype.  3 new starters on the Oline, new QB, new RB's - only 4 returning starters on O.  I think the better question is not how VT will score - but how will bama score?

7 is just too many points for this one.  Defensive game, first game of the year, too many offensive question marks on both sides of the ball - that has me grabbing a TD here....

That is the same Hawaii team that beat Nevada at Nevada last year.I don't see Nevada forcing Dame to punt more then twice in this game.Everytime Nevada steps up in class they get waxed.I am not a big Notre Dame fan at all but Nevada will be forced to throw the ball once they fall behind in the 2nd half and then it will get ugly.Nevada's qb  is a great athlete but he can't do it by himself against this team.I expect a complete blow out here. Good luck on this season Van.

I like your Thursday night plays, but the Saturday ones . . . not so much.  I would go opposite on Okie State, Nevada and of course VT.
 
As much as I hate ND, and wish they'd lose evey game by four TDs, I think they will pretty much score at will in this game. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them hit the half-century mark in this one.
 
Georgia is a far more talented team than Okie State.  Okie State always seems to struggle when they have to step up in competiton (check out their wins and losses from last year).  And despite their new DC, I can't side with the Cowboys until they prove they can play a D-I caliber of defense against a quality foe.  I think the Bulldogs win this straight up.  The points are a gift in my humble opinion.
 
The VT game will play out very much like the Bama/Tennessee, Bama/Miss St. & Bama/Auburn games from last year.  The 7 is counterfeit in my humble opinion.

Thank god somebody else besides me is not convinced ND will cover that 14. How quickly people forget that ND sucked asssss last year! I know we're talking about Nevada, but Nevada has messed some people up with that crazy pistol offense. I'd love to see the spread on this game if it were being played on a neutral field, or even at Nevada. I think Vegas has seriously stacked on the points for ND because 1.) It's at their place. -and- 2.) The media hypes up ND every single year. If this game was being played at Nevada, I'd throw money down that Nevada wins the game straight up. People forget that ND was in the same ranks as Nevada just last year. All of the sudden you see Lou Doltz spitting all over the television how great ND is going to be this year and people are buying into it.

Spurrier has had a month to prepare for bowl games, like Iowa last year - and has not done so well.  I dont buy that they have a good defense either - I think NCST will have an advantage with a mobile QB - and that will give SC all they can handle.
