Let me start by saying I'm a VOLS fan (you can feel sorry for me if you like, but it is still better than being a BUCKEYE Fan!)
LSU's new Defensive Coordinator is John Chavis, he was at UT for many years and did a great job. I have been betting LSU games this year based on the Chavis relationship with the opponent....Let's look at the year so far:
LSU doesnt cover vs Washington - Chavis had trouble with Pac-10 Offenses
LSU doesnt cover vs Vandy - Chavis had trouble winning big over Vandy the past few seasons, even losing to them once.
LSU vs ULLaf - no relationship, LSU covers
LSU doesnt cover at Miss St - MSU new coach is a Florida guy, Mullens. Chavis had trouble vs Florida in the past.
LSU covers at Georgia - Chavis had lots of success vs UGA over the years.
So....this proved scientific method is great right? Who knows...just another way to look at the games.
Remaining Schedule and how Chavis D's have faired:
Florida - Not good at all
Auburn - Not good at all
Tulane - ?
Bama - Not good vs Saban
LaTech - ?
Miss - pretty good vs Nutt
Ark - Good vs Ark.

Tennessee is now a mediocre program, and with that dufus coach you have now, look for that to continue. All you need to know about Kiffin is how he did with the Raiders. As for recruiting, how will Tenn be able to recruit vs Ohio st, Georgia, penn st, Florida, Bama, ole Miss, etc. Tenn appears to be boxed in here...

i think being on the right side of this game depends on Tebow come game time. i know he'll play but id like to see his behavior and demeanor when he sits under center for the first time in 2 weeks. all i know is through all 9 concussions i have had from doing professional wakeboarding back when i was a teenager, it always took me 3 or 4 weeks to be able to do anything physical, although i would never compare my mental toughness to Tebows, that kid is a freak.

Did you really include ole miss as a problem for tenn recruiting? You have to be kidding me.

Godfather16 - I'm not sure why your comments came into this discussion about LSU/Florida with Chavis... But since you did...
I don't know if Kiffin can coach or not, that is yet to be seen. I'm not going to hold anyone accountable for what happens with the Raiders... They will never win with Al Davis there.
Our Defense was #3 in the country last year and is just as good this year. Our offense is about the 3rd worst in the country probably, they were last year. Crompton can't run the offense or throw the ball. Once Kiffin gets a QB in here who can play the position, then we will see if he can coach and move the ball. Only time will tell.
As far as recruiting, go check out rivals or scout, you'll see TN towards the top!
