coverjrod - Can't really get into all that here.  Yes, 5% on many of them, depends on game.

Back in the day of Covers having only 1 forum there was a couple guys who loved trying to find both sides of a play and potential middle...I think 1 of the key ways was to find juice at + money.
An ex: you take Team A  -3+ 125 and Team B +3.5 +120. If it hits 3 you push and win and regardless of outcome you still Win $...The point is not to lose -110 juice on what could be a very likely outcome.

mwhite - your correct sir... but you ever recall 1 like that?  I've never seen it, but as much as I wager I'm not worried about a few dollars... like I said, maybe I get lucky, it's not garanteed, nothing is.  But worth a shot... I don't care if I lose $10 or $25... compared to what I'm wagering.  That's all I'm saying.

this actually happened last year, and i think it was also on a ohio state game. i think the spread was 46 and the total was 49. someone started a thread like this and everyone got happy, and most people layed a little on both bets. anyone wanna guess what the final was? yup 48-0, everyone lost.

I remember that.. think it was 44.5 and 48 and it was 45-0 final... what's the odds right?  But just 1 from a gamblers perspective is unheard of... I'm trying it... y not?  Small wager only for shits and giggles.  Sharp

I can almost find it w/ tonight's game...I'm not in the business of trying to middle, but yes especially on sites that let you buy and sell .5 pt's. I'm not saying 1 site will have that, you have to shop around.

pixelchild - worth a try if your only giving up $10. You have 2 numbers 28 and 29.  We'll see what happens on Saturday. Maybe you get lucky with a 28-7  or 28-3 half time score.

college - i was trying to think of all the possible likely combinations of scores that could land 28 or 29. can't really think of too many for 29.

i almost read this entire thread, and was about to type this... Sharp!  you are talking about how rare and how much of a dream scenario it was... but this exact situation happened last year, involving the same team, and everyone who did what you are planning to do had that one possible score (48-0) kill both of their bets...

i think you are better off asking yourself why that supposed "dream scenario" has been given to you... don't be at all surprised to see 28-0 at halftime of this game... in fact, i'd say it's roughly 50/50...

that's why just a small wager of 1 unit each... and I said almost dream scenario... and yes, i remember that game but it was a 2.5 point difference... Y not? $10 probably wasted. Oh well.  Shits and giggles.  U never know.

actually I read it wrong College you are right.But Eastern probably doesnt score and decent chance it lands on 28-0 and u lose both bets,goodluck though

If Julio post 56 post a month for a Three year span, he would be well over 2000 post by that time. So Julio would be able to beat the 1500 post you have done in a Three year span..

Sharp, props for pointing out the scenario.  It is certainly a rare situation to see such a small window for a loss.  That said 28-0 is quite possible.  As a buckeye fan, I think most of us are expecting atleast 28-0 at halftime and I think I would take the Buckeyes -27 instead.  Buckeyes defense is solid and the 2nd half will likely be all backups and just a couple points.
