This is a bad NM team and Arizona is looking for revenge from last years tough loss.  Like Arizona by 17 here.
 
BYU -8
This is a disciplined team that plays well at home, 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 home games, and I think this line reflects UCLA's win over UT...however I was not that impressed with UT or how that game was played.  Although it was exciting.  Probably a bad time for UCLA to have a bye last week as it may have cost them some of their momentum after the big win on national tv.

I'm trying to put together why you like BYU so much.  I just can't put it together.
 
You're arguement was that this line is 'a reflection of UCLA's win over Tennessee.'  Did you expect this line to be higher??  I can't seem to make sense of that comment.
 
And why are you relying on the UCLA/Tenn game to make your judgement of how this game will play out?  I can't seem to make sense of that either.  Maybe you didn't have your TV on this past weekend when BYU almost lost to a not-so-good Washington team.  Some would argue that BYU got a favorable unsportsmanlike conduct call that helped them to win this game.
 
Please fill me in on these.
 
All I can tell you is this.  These two teams played each other last year twice.  The first time, during the regular season, UCLA beat BYU 27-17.  The second time, in the bowl game, BYU squeaked it out winning 17-16.  Both times UCLA covered the spread.  Here's what I draw from this.  Both teams are basically the same as they were last year.  The main difference is UCLA has Neuheisel, who is an inspiration to the entire UCLA football program.  I just don't see any way that this game isn't a very close one and I think UCLA comes away with the victory.

Sorry for the typo...was trying to do 2 things at once at work while typing my post before.  Meant to put in that sentence that the action on this line is a reflection of UCLA's win over UT on national tv, guess I left it out.  The public is all over UCLA but I am just not ready to drink the UCLA kool aid yet.  I guess I don't see both teams being basically the same as last year because Kevin Craft is an inexperienced QB who now has to go on the road and play in a tough environment.  Max Hall brings a lot of experience, confidence and success into this game and I think that will make a big difference.  I did see the call and the fact that BYU did barely beat a not-so-good Washington squad, but I think that was a bad situational game for them.  I think they were looking ahead to this game and they took Washington lightly and it almost cost them.  I believe they will be very focused for this game and make things tough for the UCLA offense.  gl with your plays

Another side note to the UCLA/BYU game is BYU is 13-0 SU and 8-3 ATS in their last 13 games at home, winning 11 of those contests by double digits.  I think BYU comes out fired up and wins this game by 11-14 points

Couldn't have been more wrong about Schiano and this team.  They have no hear or pride.  Will no be laying another dollar on this team.  They need serious   Glad their is still a long weekend of college football left

These are good points but part of that 8-3 against the spread includes 0-2 ATS vs. UCLA and the other was last week against Washington.  And sure they covered those spreads in double digits and are 13-0 straight up, but who did they play?  A bunch Mountain West teams, big deal.  Their only quality win was in the bowl game last year vs. UCLA which they only won by 1 point.  You do have a good point about Craft being young, but I look for the UCLA defense to step it up another notch to help out their QB.

I guess I just believe more in Rick Neuheisel than I do in BYU.

The game last week against Washington was in Washington, not in BYU.  That was a textbook "sandwich" game as BYU was definitely overlooking them in anticipation for UCLA.  I understand your points, just think a more focused BYU team takes the field Saturday and takes care of business.
