totally agree that motivation is the key to bowl game success, especially early, but im not sure BC falls into that . obviously not the bowl they were looking for after the lofty rankings but Ryan is playing for draft position and head coach in his first bowl..i doubt they give a poor effort.GL and continued success! loose

Doesn't Central Michigan fall into the motivation category?
revenge game from being blown out earlier this year in West Lafeyette...will be playing in a pro-CMU crowd in Detroit...LeFevour(sp?) can light it up indoors against Purdue's terrible pass defense
+280 looks like a nice take for CMU

I love Mizzou, but it seems like theey would have a let down, going from National Championship game, to Cotton Bowl againsst Arkansas. Arkansas just lost their head coach....so how would you call the motivation in this game?
I think Mizzou still blows them out. But yoru thoughts would be greatly appreciated

CMU has the motivational angle for sure, but something doesn't smell right with this game. Just a gut feel telling me to stay away. I actually have more of a lean on the under. I have it at 80.
Adding.........
Michigan State +4 Motivational edge for the Spartans. Dantonio is one of the best coaches in the country. If you go back and look at BC's schedule, they have not faced one balanced offense all year long.
Only other game I'm on in 2007 is the Wake under. Ive deciced to stay away from Penn State (don't like fading teams that got blown out in a bowl the previous year, and the Ags fit that bill). I've also crossed off Maryland unless I get confirmation that both Oregon State's QB's are out which I heard from someone, and if Bernard is less than 100%.
Will most likely add Air Force as I can't find a reason why Cal will care about this game. Air Force fits the service academy dog trend as those kids are generally always motivated. They should be able to run all over Cal. I do worry about their secondary getting lit up by Cal's passing attack, but does Cal care at all? I mean they couldn't move the ball against an even worse Stanford D because you could tell they didn't want to be there either.

9 games so far. Pretty sure I'll be on Usc under, Air Force, and Wisconsin (after finding out who is out for Tenn) to close out my bowl card at 12 games. Will be happy with 8-4, but I expect better.

East Carolina +10 W
Michigan +10
Uconn/Wake Under 48.5

Ohio State +5
Bowling Green/Tulsa Over 75
Hawaii +9.5
