Yeah, I have to say this game isn't necessarily easy by any means, but.....
I did start off thinking Cal was the big play here and I do still think they should win the game in the end, but.....
There is a lot of value on South Florida as my write-up would suggest. But so far this tournament has already been absolutely crazy! But I did go 5-1 ATS in NCAA BB yesterday. Lost on Lamar today so far though.....
But here is my take on the game --
SOUTH FLORIDA BULLS (+3) Cal
comes into this one having lost a lot of steam to close out their
season, losing 3 of their L4 overall in Pac-12 play. Two of those
losses came against tournament champion Colorado, with as 3rd loss
coming at Stanford (a team which is also playing much better lately), so
perhaps we shouldn't put too much stock in those losses. Another
drawback to CAL here however, is the fact that the Golden Bears only
managed a pathetic 1-4 ATS record in their L5 games (all with them as
the listed favorite). They were also 2-2 on neutral courts so far this
season with those two losses both coming by double-digits against
Missouri and Colorado in a second round Pac-12 tournament game. South
Florida on the other hand, was just kept on the outskirts of the bubble,
despite having a productive season overall, as they were bounced in OT
by Notre Dame in the second round of the Big East championship. This
Bulls actually had a pretty good season on neutral courts as well, as
although they only managed to break even with a 3-3 ML record in those 6
games away from home, 4 of those 6 games were decided by a mere 4
points or less, including all 3 of their losses in that situation. This
Bulls team also lost in their last game as the underdog against Notre
Dame, but they were a successful bet for their backers this season when
getting points, going 5-1 ATS in their L6 when listed as the underdog. Take the SOUTH FLORIDA BULLS to COVER in tonight's meeting.......
