Hawaii returns 10 players and has several key additions, primarily two guards (Dwain Williams 18ppg and Jeremy Lay 11ppg) who can shoot the 3, and a 7 foot 275 pound center that is a legit defensive / space eater. Hawaii was in the bottom 5 of the Nation in 3 point shooting last year, and appears to have addressed this glaring weakness.
Hawaii also returns probably the only NBA prospect in the WAC, Roderick Flemings (16.6ppg/6rpg /2apg). Flemings is suffering from a strained abdomen, although his numbers are fantastic so far.
That being said, Hawaii will be without 3 year starter Bill Amis at Forward (11ppg/6rpg), and the monster man center.
Hawaii has managed to win their first two games of the Rainbow Classic with just a 7 Man Rotation.
Hawaii has beaten their two opponents by an average of 12.5 points.
Northern Colorado has managed to beat the same opponents by an average of 30 points.
Northern Colorado also uses a 10 man rotation.
Hawaii is physically more talented in the starting 5. However, I think Northern Colorado's uptempo 10 man rotation will wear them down tonite.
Northern Colorado should keep it close, and could very well win outright against a depleted Hawaii team....

Hawaii being picked last in the WAC is a joke.

Did you see my NM State Aggies on Friday? That was too easy. Man they are gonna stink. They got young players and two returners (Gillenwater and McKines are out till about Jan because of academics).
I'll probably tail you on Northern Colorado. I think people will chase with Hawaii tonight. GL.

Yup. Flemings is a beast.
