Kansas -9 and DROPPING ?

Why do people insist on using the rankings as justification for bets and lines?  The rankings in college basketball mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.  It's the most pointless ranking system there is.

As a WVU fan and alumn, the coliseum has been a tough place to play for many top ten teams. Our fans are fair weather as they come and will be out in full force. If this were in Lawrence or anywhere else KU wins by twenty with their support staff, but this WVU squad has shown "moments" of playing ball. One full game these kids could show up tonight. Inmho.

That's why I bought the points at 6.5 just to be safe huggs is a good coach going against number 1 team this week Kansas will roll first half np but I just got this feeling wvu makes a push in second half

Since the NBA style 97-89 Win vs Iowa St KU has slowed it down to an average of 62-52 for last 5 games...so 8 seems about right but being a KU fan I hate these Big 12 Monday Night Prime Time games. Having a top ranked team go on the road spells trouble this year and KU will lose at least 1 or 2 more before the tourney...lets hope tonight isnt the night for that and that big D comes thru tonight!!!

We brought up rankings because someone said Kansas and WVU aren't "great" not to justify betting them. I can justify taking Kansas tonight w a few reasons. A.) BC they're simply 10+ pts better than WVU whether they play at WVU, Kansas, or Zimbabwe. B.) This WVU team is the worst in years. Throw out the past records etc... BC this team just is not good. 
C.) Look at the matchups individually and tell me one spot where WVU is better than Kansas.

If WV guards the ball and slows the game to a crawl, jayhawks may not find the rythem they're used to

Kansas is happy to play slow......13 times this year they have held their opponent under 60 points and 4 others under 70. Only two opponents have gone over 70 on the Jayhawks.

KU won't be flustered by a slow paced game. In fact the under (again) looks pretty good.

To be safe I teased kansas to -3 with louisvile -.5... 120 pays 100  and I feel good with those spreads. Good luck either way!!

 play the under 131 should be low scoring game.. Kan on the road vs W V ready to play maybe not win outright but will play hard tonight LOL

Under is the strongest play in this game...but KU -8...you have to take that if you are betting a team in this game! In college hoops, books are off lots on a regular basis!!! (ex...last game last night...Stanford -3.5 road favorite...won by 31 at Utah????)  Some things are just not meant to be over thought. My opinion...

Just said the same thing is someone else's thread. My first thought was to be all over Kansas but not betting game for that reason.!!

I know Wvu isn't good, but please don't compare them to Utah. Wvu is favored by 6 or 7 on a nuetral vs the utes

ku clearly better...game was never really in doubt...can't cover 9....way too many points on road.....congrats wv backers!
