Not a pretty card today. ND @ Pitt after both coming off of losses (coin flip), a Rutgers team without their star player (could be scrappy), Bill & Mary seeking revenge, etc. Only 2 games I like right now, one because it means a lot to the school and another because they are hot right now. The public $ is moving both lines in the right direction and both will most likely close 1 1/2 points above where they are @ currently.
1) PORTLAND STATE -4.5: The favorite in this series is 8-1 ATS last 9 and Eastern Washington is 2-7 ATS last 9. Eastern Washington led between the two wire-to-wire and Portland State is out for revenge @ home. This game means a lot for them and will be getting a lot of support as they can win a Cup the two schools compete for (see below).
73-81 Portland State
THE DAM CUP
The Portland State Vikings and Eastern Washington Eagles are in the third year of a five-sport rivalry cup called The Dam Cup. The Dam Cup celebrates the friendly rivalry between the states of Oregon and Washington within the Big Sky Conference. Monday's basketball game will be worth two points in the Dam Cup series. Eastern Washington currently leads the competition, 8-5. Portland State needs to win on Monday, followed by a PSU women's win over Eastern Washington on Thursday, for the Vikings to hold on to the trophy for a third straight. If the Eagles win either game, they will claim the Dam Cup for the first time.
2) KANSAS STATE -10.5: Coach Huggins is coming back to town and K-State has never lost against former coaches, usually winning by a wide margin. K-State is 1st in Big 12 assist-to-turnover ratio and TO Margin as well as 1st in FG%, 3 PT%, and assists. K-State is hot right now and as long as the D stays as stingy as always, they should win this game by 16+. They are firing on all cylanders right now and only won by 1 point last time they met.
66-82 K-State
GL to all. Follow or fade, hoping to keep the streak going.
