Wire to wire 5 to 8 point winner. East Carolina has everybody back from last year and Georgia State doesn't but...Those guys on EC sucked, they've played nothing but cupcakes at home this year, and they haven't impressed anybody. Bad Team

Allow me to play devils advocate here. You are betting against a team that is shooting 55% from inside the three, shoots 72% from the free throw line and is the number 11 team in the country at creating free throw opportunities. They also are a top 25 team when it comes to giving up turnovers. Let's add to that. You have a team in East Carolina that has a dynamic tandem in Robert Sampson and Maurice Kemp who are double doubles waiting to happing and Miguel Paul who is playing like the glove on defense lately. Georgia State is no slouch but they aren't exactly blowing teams out at home. Their last two victories at home have been by two and against teams that aren't as good as ECU. I haven't made a play but it doesn't help anyone by coming into this thread and leaving a clover leaf.

And the ECU Pirates return six of their top seven scorers- a total of six players on the roster who have averaged at least 19 minutes per game at the Division I level. But those players suck
And The Panthers lost four starters and two of their top bench players......But these tranfers and new kids are playing as a team..
Its a team game and this Panther team is not losing to ECU at home tonight. I don't expect a blowout, i expect a win -3.5
And BTW..Sampson stinks..5.9 a game last year? Big star there..

I agree with Thakidd...and, something else I was looking at was ECU was fave of -16.5 & -11.5 last two games and now they are dogs? Looks like the line value lies with the dog.
Good luck!!

I think the line might go down to -3....Everybodies gonna like ECU, but you gotta look at it. Its a bad team and they will be trailing throughout.

Let me preface this by saying this is a discussion and not an argument on my end but I propose this question to you. Who is playing better basketball this year ecu or Georgia state? Another thing is you can't a team solely off of last year's results. Players develop and get better. So far this year, ecu has had an effective inside presence, good free throw shooting, plenty of free throw opportunities, and low turnover percentage. From a stats perspective that makes up a good team. When I looked at Georgia state, I see they don't turnover it over a ton and shoot the three ball decent but here is the kicker, what do they do if those shots aren't falling? They don't have a dominating inside presence and they don't get to the free throw line much so if the three ball is off, so will their chances of winning will be also.

G State won't blow anyone out but ECU's lack of a schedule makes them hard to read. They could be good but who knows...first roady too.
I liked Tenn Tech last week who had "great" numbers vs garbage competition. They got rolled at home by a Colt Ryan less Evansville squad playing it's 4th game in six days. Learned my lesson, no more backing teams where we have no competition to accurately gauge their level of play.
To me it's G State or no play. Since the Panthers like to play close games I'm passing on it.

Study the records of teams ECU played..They might be the worst 3 or 4 teams in college basketball.....Now i'm sure they thought they could just show up and win, and they did, but
I am not impressed, I am however impressed with this scrappy Panther squad
