Detroit Titans/Horizon get Screwed!

Horizon Winner ALWAYS received a 12 or 13 seed. HOW does the Horizon League Winner get SHAFTED this year with a #15 Seed??? And have to play fkn KANSAS in 1st round?!? I'm in disbelief... I never saw BUTLER get a 15 Seed.... I just really feel bad for the guys... I was so excited to see where they'd be at in the Brackets, and this was like a kick in the stomach. They have NO shot to beat Kansas in the 1st round. Very, very disappointing. There were other "shit" teams that got better seedings. Expected a 12/13 seed, and a 'shot' to win the opener. The guys must feel very angry/disappointed with this draw.

I'm actually excited to see McCallum go against Taylor one on one. I actually think Ray is a better player despite only being a sophomore.

But down low, you are correct. Titans have no chance with Robinson and Whithey.

Just bizarre how they have to play a top-5 team in the Opener. No respect at all for Detroit. I'd like to have seen Butler get this kind of draw... and make the Finals... never would happen. What a fuckin' Joke!

That would be cool.... maybe I should view this as a cool opportunity for my team. Rather have played DUKE instead of Kansas though if I HAD to be a 15 Seed! Eli Holman will be hungry for this game!

If Eli can just hold his ground against the KU bigs, this could get interesting. KU has been notorious in choking in the early rounds of the tourney.

You should be excited. Its a great opportunity to have the whole country talking about your team if they can upset KU.

Besides its about time the world is introduced to Mr. McCallum. The kid is a stud.

jdubs, i think this detroit team will take that seed as a slight. i am giving them a serious shot to win here. i think this det team is better than last years butler team

this was a shocker for me when i saw the titans being a 15th seed. the committee probably didn't want them to be a 12 seed and go far... hopefully mccullum goes crazy and who knows...it is march madness anyway  go titans!

Detroit shouldn't even be there!!!  I hope KU beats them by 40,  little Ray will get housed by Taylor

Just remember Bill Self coached a Wayne Simien led team that lost to Bucknell as a 3 seed a few years ago. 

It's March buddy, anything can happen.

I remember watching Rashad Phillips lead U of D to a tourney win about 13 years ago.

Yeah the +14!!!  Nice responses. Maybe they could do it. I saw some articles saying they are the strongest 15 seed ever. A senior laden squad might put up a large fight against these guys.

I'm definitely being an optimist here but one thing they have going for them is flying under the radar. Let's face it Butler, Valpo, Cleveland State would never have been a 15 seed had they won the Horizon. But they would be on everyone's radar had they drew this position. 

UDM is a good team and has some athletes. Maybe they catch a break or two and this game is close at the 5:00 minute mark. Who knows.

I was ready to take U of D a few rounds. Didn't see this crap coming. This is BS when you see some of the other seedings and matchups. I will say this:

Titans +15 ALL DAY!!!!

Titans 1str half + whatever

...and Detroit can hang with Kansas

Detroit 22-13 overall record losing to Bama, MissSt, ND, literally beating nobody out of conference......tied for 3rd place at 11-7 in the Horizon, and had to win the conference tourney to get in.

Equals 15 seed. 

Tough draw because you can argue that Kansas coulda been a potential 1 seed.  I think Detroit actually has some talent and can hang.  I do like the +15 with Detroit but not sure if I can play it.

hockeytown, I will also be on the first half also as soon as it comes out, you guys who have offshore accounts should be able to get the best #'s, here in vegas its tough, should be able to get 8 at least I hope!

Them having to win the conference tourney to get in is why they got the #15 seed. They are a dangerous team but not against a #1 maybe like a #3 and below.
